Weekend Roundup!

My weekend was pretty calm.  I didn’t do anything too exciting. I finally am getting to read! One of the books I bought is our own Silver Jame’s book,  Promises, Promises from Amazon Kindle and can’t wait to read that one! I’m thinking that will be next.

It’s been nice to finally have a quiet weekend!

I got a nice surprised when I opened my email and found a new review for SINFUL MAGIC from Joyfully Reviewed, and found out that they chose it as one of their May’s Recommended Reads! So cool! C lip of the review is:

Sinful Magic is wrought with suspense, sex, and sweethearts.  Ms. Lyon’s suave style makes Sinful Magic standout in the paranormal genre.   I’m definitely Joyfully Recommending Sinful MagicSinful Magic is a fantastic paranormal with a rich story overflowing with passion, action and intrigue.

You can read the entire thing here if you are so inclined.

This week I am on call for jury duty.  It’s a good week to have that for the most part, so I can’t whine.

How was your weekend?

Yay for the awesome review. I can’t wait to read Sinful Magic. (But you already knew that. LOL)

We had a quiet weekend here, too. I spent some time researching for a new book I’m working on – in a totally different genre to shake me out of this malaise. And then I got sucked into the research because the subject was so interesting, so I didn’t get much writing done. I’m also working on another crochet project (now that the last blanket is finished and mailed off) and I knocked off some of my TBR pile. All in all, the weekend was a win.

Weekend? There was a weekend? When?

AWESOME review! But then I’ve had a feeling about this book. After NIGHT MAGIC, I knew you were on a roll! I can’t wait to read it!

Jury duty can be interesting. If you actually have to go sit there, the people can be fascinating. So can watching the attorneys if you actually get called to a courtroom for voir dire. Keep us posted!

B.E., thanks! On research–I don’t think that is ever lost time. I can’t tell you how many times some nugget of information I gleamed from past research has ended up in future books. So you were working, even if you weren’t producing words on the page!

And I’m jealous of your ability to crochet!

Silver, thanks on the review. It amazes me that you and others were so sure about this book, when I was sick with worry!

It all depends on Jury Duty. We’ll see if I get called in and if there’s a case that I can do. The last one was a LONG trial with three defendants. I couldn’t commit with my deadlines.

Oh, got to visit with the in-laws in MA – we drove up in our new Kia Soul, which saves us over $200 a month in car bills !!! I’m delighted to say it’s a LOT more roomy and comfortable than one might imagine just looking at the outside.
Finished Soul Magic last night (you know I’m getting #3 next) and very much enjoyed Carla’s story – I love when people draw attention to the truth ‘love is a choice’.
Congrats on yet another great review :)

Love the review. I can’t wait!
My weekend was calm. Hubby. eldest and youngest sons played golf on Saturday allowing me to do massive quantities of laundry. Then Hubs took me, middle, and youngest sons to dinner. We spent WAY too much but boy was it good. Sunday – grocery shopping and cleaning, oh boy!

Viki, I did laundry today–it’s an annoying chore! Your dinner sounded good though!
