Happy Friday!

Wizard was off work yesterday for Independence Day so I’m all confused on the days of the week now.  But we had a great day.  I worked in the morning, then we swam and made steak and lobster for dinner.  The kids went to their various girlfriends and fiancée’s houses and we were fine with that.

This weekend I have to work. On the upside, I was talking with an author friend whose writing schedule is worse than mine and that made me feel better. If she can do it, so can I (maybe, LOL!) I may see if Biker Witch has time for coffee or lunch this weekend too. But I really have been having too much fun (and eating too much!) and need to get back to the grind!

So how was your Fourth and do you have any weekend plans?

I’m glad you enjoyed the 4th with Wizard. I really understand how the days get thrown off when the guy is home. It’s so easy to think it’s the weekend.

Sometimes it nice to be just the “two of us.” It was like that here too. Youngest was working, middle went to Sandusky with friends and the eldest other family obligations.

So we just putz around the house and later in the afternoon went to see friends 3 wk old Clydesdale foal. He is SO cute but the mother is terrible. It looks like they’ll have to separated. While we were there she kicked him nipped at him and wouldn’t let him feed. They were worried that she would be like that right at birth but it’s just been this past week that she’d been nasty mean to him.

I hope you do get to squeeze in a coffee break this weekend with Biker Witch this weekend and don’t work too hard.

    Have a great weekend!

Glad to hear you had a nice time with Wizard. It is sometimes good to have a day (or night) just as a couple. Even if being off in the middle (or towards the end of) the week can throw you off. I went threw a couple days back in high school that I had to ask someone what day it was… in every class, that’s how bad it was all because we didn’t have school on a Monday.

My family and I went to the movies, then to see the fireworks. Since my parents and I have military ID’s we got 2 free tickets each. We saw White House Down, with Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx, and I loved it :-D .

Get that coffee break with Biker Witch, and don’t work too hard. Who knows, Biker Witch could help you relax and get those creative juices flowing.

It is a project weekend at my house since the kids are away. I am looking forward to it beacause I feel so good after getting things done that it is worth all the work that goes into it.

The “keep your eye on the prize” aditude works for me.

    Have a great weekend everyone.

Yeah, I’m confused by the days of the week, too. Holidays always mess me up. I kept thinking yesterday was Sunday. I’m so glad you two had a relaxing day together. Steak and lobster sounds awesome.

I pretty much wrote off and on yesterday – with lots of breaks. We had strawberry pancakes for breakfast and big hamburgers for lunch. Then I completely lost track of time and skipped dinner altogether. Hubs was all like ‘don’t worry about dinner, you’re working’. He foraged in the fridge. I never did eat. LOL

No weekend plans other than writing. I’m on a roll and I want to maintain the momentum.

Yesterday was a lazy one for me. I did a tiny bit of writing–not near the word count I need to be doing.

This weekend will be “get ready for Nationals” time. Can’t believe we’ll be leaving in a week. *muppet flail* I have to get certificates for the NRCA designed and printed. I need to finish getting my swag ready to go, too. I need to add some “layers” to my website, too, to showcase the upcoming Penumbra series, which is what the swag is about. And writing. I really need to get BLACK MAGIC WOMAN at least in first draft form and to beta readers before I head to Atlanta.

Viki, I’m a creature of habit, so it really throws me to have Wizard home in the middle of the week. Sad that I’m so predictable!

Awww on the baby Clydesdale! I’d love to see him. But so sad about the mom being mean to him. I know horses can be temperamental, and that’s about the extend of my knowledge. I hope it’s a temporary thing.

Glad you had a relaxing day too!

Amanda, you had a movie marathon! So cool that you could take advantage of the free tickets for military families!

I just have to see if Biker Witch is available. She’s had a busy summer!

Kat, I love that feeling of accomplishment too! Don’t love doing the work though. Glad you kept your eye on the prize!

B.E., don’t lose your momentum! That’s so key! Keep writing! And LOL on skipping dinner. I’ve done that, usually at the end of a book or revisions. But makes sure you keeping eating (almonds are great for energy) and taking breaks to stretch.

Silver! Hey I just finished ROGUE MOON last night! So good, love that it’s all wrapped out and very relieved about the kid :-) Don’t want to ruin it for anyone. Izzy is an interested heroine, a mix of timid and brave, and I could feel her struggles.

Wow you’ve got a lot of on your plate! I didn’t realize RWA was so close since I’m not going this year.

Jenn – If you don’t mind I can send you a little video clip my friends daughter made of the foal when he was 2 wks old. It’s a little blurry but still really cute. Let me know and I’ll send it to the email I have for you.

Jen, so glad you liked it! I have plans to go back and fill in some blanks and release the trilogies as two print books. There’s so much I cut out that didn’t have to do with each story, but would be important if I combined them all. :D There’s also the question of Antoine. He has a story to be told, once I figure it out.
