News and Wednesday Worthy

I’ve been holding off on announcing this, but since we’re working on the contract now, I guess it’s “safe” to announce.  I’ve sold the German rights to The Plus One Chronicles to Egmont LYX, the same German publisher that publishes Maya Banks, Lisa Renee Jones, and many others.

I am thrilled! I never imagined I’d sell foreign rights like this.  They contacted me, asking to read THE PROPOSITION  and POSSESSION.  I was so busy writing the third book and oldest son’s wedding that I didn’t think about it too much…until the editorial director contacted me.  I gave them a synopsis of OBSESSION and they made an offer.

Oh, and the German editor has read OBSESSION and likes it! Yay! She read it as soon as I got it to her last weekend, LOL!

Quick Reminder: OBSESSION should be up at most venders around Oct. 10th.  I’m just waiting on the formatter now!

So that’s my news. Now lets switch to Wednesday Worthy. This is one of our “old friends”:

So do we still think he’s worthy?

WOW! What great news. You have had a very exciting few months so it’s understandable that this was on the back burner in your mind. How thrilling it must be.

I say nice man candy and yes he’s worthy.

I’m fighting some belly yuck at the moment. I hope it passes soon and no one in the house picks it up.

    Have a good day!

How cool is that? Awesome news, Jen! I hope the Germans appreciate your work as much as we do. You’ll take Deutschland by storm!

And I can’t wait for Obsession! But I will, because you can’t rush stuff like that.

Oh yeah, still worthy. Good men, like little black dresses, never go out of style. ;o)

Oh Viki, I hope you feel better soon! I’m keeping my fingers crossed that no one else gets sick. Unfortunately that particularly misery spreads way too easily.

Thank you so much on the LYX sale. I’m so excited but it’s eating time to handle it all :-)

Kat, LOL, I have no idea what you said!

I’m not a beer drinker at all, so i’ll take your word on German beer.

    Thank you for the congrats!

B.E, thank you! I never imagined it would happen with my self pubbed work. It’s surreal. I’m not sure how they even found me. I can guess, but it’d just be speculation. I’ll have to ask them that question.

You’re exactly right about not being able to rush things. But my inner control freak doesn’t like it!

Hope your plants have arrived or arrive soon!

JEN!!!!! That’s awesome news!!!!! So excited for you!!!!!!

Okay. Enough of the exclamation points, but I did let out a loud “SQUEEE” which sent the dogs hurtling outside seeking the source of my screaming.

And yeah, an old favorite is always worth revisiting. :D

Now I’ll share over here. I’m going to be a grandmother in April. :D

Silver, YAY on your awesome news!!! How’s your girl feeling? Sometimes, those first months can be really tough. I hope she’s feeling great!

Dang, so exciting!!! Congrats to all of you! You’ll have to fill me in on the whole Grandma experience.

Thank you on the German sale :-) I’m so over the moon about it. It’s been hard to keep quiet.

I just asked if you speak German in German. May be a trip overseas for a signing in your future? Dream Big…

Kat, I think it’s evident I don’t speak German, LOL! It’d be awesome to go to Germany though. Never hurts to dream!

Everything is here and in the ground but the lily of the valleys. It doesn’t look like much now, but this spring should be amazing. =o)

YAY – congrats Jen. That’s great news !!!

Yeah, he’s worthy – I downloaded this image from the sight myself – then edited it to fit my character (needed to be a bit beefier) but he has my vote ;)
