Happy Friday!

Happy Friday!!

So what are you guys reading? I just finished THE AIR HE BREATHS by Brittainy Cherry. I loved that book until the last 25% where, for me, the story took a plot twist that (again just my opinion) was way too coincidental. But for others it totally worked. That book hit the top of iTunes bestseller list (I bought and read it BEFORE I knew that. I just liked the blurb and sample pages).  But despite not caring for that plot twist, I still love the book.

Next I’m going to give OWNED BY THE BAD BOY by Vanessa Waltz a try. It’s a dark romance, so I’m not sure if it’s my thing or not.

Today I’m writing and going to lunch with Biker Witch, then writing some more. This book is super challenging as far as the structure, but I love these characters. Just hope I can capture the story brewing in my head into words. Even though Wizard is “debating” with me, suggesting I should put this in the three book trilogy like I did the Plus One Chronicles, I really want to do it in one book. I just have to figure out how to make it work. I have a vision for this book launching a series–I’m going to stick to that if at all possible.

But man if I could have one wish today it’d be that I wrote faster.

This weekend will be more writing, and a bit of cleaning. I’ve also been working on pitching a workshop with a friend to RWA for next year.

So what are you guys reading?

    Hi, everyone and Happy Friday!!

I’m reading Firestorm Forever by Deborah Cooke. It’s the last in a series of 11 books about dragon shifters. They were all pretty good.

    Have a wonderful weekend.

Ack. I hate when that happens. And may our books never end that way. Good luck with the next read! Have a blast with Biker Witch and with your writing. I know you can do this. Heh, yeah, I wish I could write faster, too, and have more hours in the day to write, and be able to multi-task, and have the scratch to publish books more often. A talented wisher could get all of that into one wish – but the genie wouldn’t like it. ;o)

Right now, I’m beta reading an awesome book that I can’t wait for everyone else to be able to read, too. Then I’ve got an ARC to read so I can review it. Then I’m back to my own stuff. Still trying to decide which book to release in February – the 2nd djinn book or the 2nd SCIU book. We’ll see. Meanwhile, I’m working on the blurb for BloodFlow which is due out next month. Finished the cover. I’ll reveal that soon. And then there’s raking to do. LOL

*waves madly to Biker Witch* Enjoy lunch!

I just finished reading the first three books of the Dragonriders of Pern series. It’s old. But it was a favorite and when the bundle came up cheap on Kindle, I jumped on it, despite having all the originals in hardback. It held up fairly well, but…well, that’s another topic for a blog post. However, the set up is something I think you could use in your current project. Have 3 “books” in one volume. Not a trilogy, per se, but three distinct episodes. You could keep that format for the series. Call me if I’m not making sense. It’s Friday, I’ve only had one cup of coffee and…edit/deadline brain.

Editing, cleaning, and sports for me this weekend. And probably in that order. LOLOL Have a great weekend, witches! :-D

Ack! I’m so sorry. I forgot to close the html tag on my previous comment. See? Not nearly enough coffee!

B.e., you know how it is, a plot twist works for not person and not another. Oddly enough, not everyone loves my plot twists either :-)

I don’t see why we can’t have multiple wishes!

You have a packed weekend! As to which book to release next, that’s a toughie. Is one selling better than the other?

Blurbs — ugh! I’d rather do the raking, LOL!

Silver! You totally kept me up last night! I had major insomnia and hated the book I was trying to read. So I finally remembered NIGHT SHIFT and started reading that. Damn…I did not want to put it down. I finally forced myself to around 4am. That is not cool…I’ve had about three hours sleep total. I blame you!!

Yep, I’m thinking I’m going to do Part one, two and three. My problem is keeping it fast paced and moving through time.

And I loved that dragon series all those years ago! however, now…I’ thinking it was probably too description heavy and slow paced for current standards. Am I close? It’s been years and years since I read any of those books.

Hope you have a great weekend too! And no biggie on italics, I’ve done that too :-)

I know what you mean on how you can love a book up until the end. It’s almost like they have to finish it so the quickie fix will do. I am so glad you obsess (not really obsess, but you know what I mean) over your work to get it right.

I’m sure what you’re working on right now will come together in the best way. It’s nice the Wizard really likes to help. He’s a sweetie.

I hope you had a wonderful lunch with Biker Witch.

I’m going to clean this weekend too. I switched out clothes last weekend so I guess I should clean my closet now ;).

I’m reading Cynthia Eden’s Bite the Dust.

    Have a great weekend :)!

Viki, “obsess” is probably the right word with some of my books. And thank you :-)

Wizard is sweet and he’s very good about helping when I need it and backing off when I don’t. Both are equally important, I think.

Had a great lunch with Biker Witch! So nice to catch up with her after a trip she took.

Cleaning closets isn’t fun but it feels GREAT once it’s done.

    Hope you’re enjoying Cynthia’s book!
