You know what’s weird? Well besides me I saw my doctor yesterday and didn’t gain any weight throughout all the holidays and even lost a pound. Honestly, I can’t figure it out because I was eating. People, I need to solve this riddle and bottle it!!! My only guess is that I was so busy I wasn’t eating as much as I think I was?
But now that I’m mostly sitting at my computer, I’ll probably gain and be baffled by that too, LOL!
In other news, I went back to the gym this week. One word sums up my feelings on that, OUCH!!
Now I’m back to the grind, and working so hard, I’m barely online. I’m at the do-or-die stage of the book, totally ripping apart and rewriting the first half so I can write the second half, all while I feel my deadline in a few weeks bearing down on me. It must go to the editor by the beginning of March…I hope!
And last thing, to all of you in the path of the storm bearing down on the East Coast, I’m thinking of you all. Stay warm and safe!
My weekend plans are writing, writing and more writing. What are you doing?

You were probably busier and more active, so you were burning calories as fast as you were taking them in. Good job! We won’t discuss what my yearly weigh-in results were. Nope nope nope.
You can do this. You’ll rip it all up and sew it back together and everything will be lovely by the time it goes to the editor. Five weeks is totally do-able. But I feel your pain. I have to get this into some semblance of not-awful before Sunday. And up to professional and publishable by 3/5 (my upload for pre-order date). We can both get ‘er done. Good lord willin’ and the creek don’t rise. ;o)
So, yeah, that’s what I’ll be doing this weekend. Edit-a-thon. Edit-ageddon? Edit-pocalypse?

I didn’t gain any so I consider that a win and have managed to keep most of what I lost when I was down in the lung-crud from coming back.
No weather for us but between a call from Mr. HQE this afternoon, and two babysitting session with Stormageddon (this afternoon and tomorrow morning), I need to squeeze in synopses (four), RITA reading (so far so good), and get back into actually writing new words. I have one project with a late September deadline but I sure need to fill in the months in-between with getting new books on the market.
B.E.’s right, Jen. You’ll find the right way to put the book back together and then the 2nd half will come off like gangbusters!
Everyone east of me, stay warm and safe! Have a great weekend, everyone!

Silver, are you all better now? I hope so!
You have a full weekend too. I haven’t even started my RITA books yet. I only have six but they look pretty good so I’m happy.
Sending good wishes for you convo with your editor today!

That’s really good news. Puts you in a good mood ;). I think you were very active over the holidays and that really helps when all those goodies are around. But I’ve got a feeling that you’re like me and don’t go too far overboard when you treat yourself.
Oh, we’re at that stage of the book ;). We have faith in you that all the tearing apart and putting back together will be successful in building the second half of the book. Your worry and frustration always makes for a great reward.
I’m going to the mall with my girlfriend tomorrow. Haven’t been to a mall in 6 or 8 months. She has shopping to do. I’ll be a coach ;). I will look at displays for a dress to go to a wedding the end of Feb in AZ but I’m not buying.
I hope all goes well with the writing this weekend but do take some relaxation time. Have a great one :)!

Viki, I try not to, but in the last year, I eat more than I should. However right now, I’m focusing on exercise (to strengthen some of my weak areas), then I’ll make changes in my diet a little at a time.
You guys are so awesome with all your faith in me, thank you!
Have a great time shopping! I hope your friends finds what she needs, and you get some ideas of what you want for the wedding.
Have a great weekend!
