Another lightning quick week! I’m working in my usual insane fashion, desperately trying to write Ethan and Ana’s novella. As I’m writing this blog, I love the story so much I can hardly stand it. However the day before, I was banging my head on the desk and telling Wizard I quit. You know, in everything else I am streamlined, organized and efficient. But writing a book for me is a crazy-ass process that no amount of threats, wine or self-discipline has yet tamed!
However, I think this is what having true passion for our work looks like. It’s not all sunny happy days filled with puppies and chocolate rainbows There has to be struggles or it’s not worth it.
Now let’s get to the weekend. Today I’m probably going to the movies with Wizard. Saturday will be work and Sunday I’m going to lunch with Biker Witch (my sister) to catch up. And I’ll work…because this novella now owns me until I get this draft done.
What are your plans? Whatever they are, hope you have a great weekend!

I have a short deadline and about 40K words to write in 3+ weeks. Yippee! I have a pretty good idea where the book is going but the heroine threw me a loop when she informed me she has a Newfoundland, which will throw the hero into…well…let’s just say he’s not really a dog person.
I’ll mostly be working. Baseball Boy’s team is supposed to play a tournament but the weather may preclude games. I’ll probably take a pen and notebook and handwrite scenes if we’re at the ballpark.
I can’t wait to read this novella! I love it when you get all twisted up and excited.

Silver LOL on the Newfoundland! That’s a LOT of dog for a non-dog person. Especially since a lot of Newfoundlands (and Great Danes, which I have a huge soft spot for) don’t have a real concept of personal space. It’s going to be so much fun to read!
I really hope you guys have milder weather and no more tornados.
Have a great weekend!

It’s true, if you weren’t really passionate about the book/novella you wouldn’t be banging your head on the table. We all benefit from your passion I just wish you didn’t have to suffer a concussion along the way.
What movie did you go see? The Clooney one looks good even if I don’t care for him ;).
We’re all going out Sat night to celebrate hubs and the youngest birthdays (Sun. and Mon.).It should be a really nice time.
Have a wonderful lunch with biker witch :).

Viki, we saw Money Monster (the Clooney one). I liked it, although the characters were very cliche and there were a few slow spots.
Happy Birthday to you husband and youngest son! Hope you guys have a great time!
