Friday Five
Time to list five random things around our week. Here are mine:
- Wizard and I went out to hang with Baby Slayer yesterday so Special K could take a nap and get in some work. Here’s my boy:
- See that adorable baby? As soon as Wizard took off to go do some stuff and Special K went to rest, he got busy with a dirty (gross!) diaper. Then when I was changing the diaper, round two showed up. Um…I began juggling fast, but I had it under control…that’s when Baby Slayer peed all over me and himself. LOLOL!! Grandma initiation! I’m pretty sure his dad put him up to it Overall we had a great day together.
- We took Maggie to her daycare/boarding since wouldn’t be home until late last night. For the first time, Maggie didn’t struggle to get to me when I left, instead as soon as I took her leash off and put her inside the gate to the daycare section, she trotted over to the owner to say hi. I was so happy!
- I’m trying to write!
- Wizard had a good birthday this week. We went to dinner, he had steak and lobster, and I had chicken. We really enjoyed it, but DAMN the menu print was impossible to read. Obviously I’m due to get my eyes checked. My eyes are bad, but well corrected with monovision contacts. They don’t correct as well in glasses. I need to make that appointment but there’s not a lot of spare time to go around
That’s my quick Friday five, now it’s your turn to share yours. Have a great weekend!

Awwwww! All the baby feels! Sooo cute and Maggie’s such a good girl. She knows she’s found her forever home and can now make outside friends. Happy belated to Wiz! My five…
1. I have a new book. It doesn’t seem to be doing as well as my other Kindle World books on their releases, but it’s a new world for me so…. I like the book and it’ll find an audience eventually.
2. I want to write things not on my deadlines schedule.
3. We may have sleet and/or snow tonight/tomorrow morning. It’s April!
4. I have devoured Jennifer Ashley’s Shifters Unbound series. I’m on the next to last book which gives me a sad, but there are two new books coming which gives me a happy.
5. Unless the weather totally craps out, I’m having lunch with Only and Stormaggedon tomorrow. Lawyer Guy will be a Legion meeting and Baseball Boy has a tournament. That means Mexican food and my favorite grandson! Oh, and Only.
Have a great weekend everyone!

1. Baby Slayer is growing fast :). What a handsome guy, and all that hair ;).
2. Oh the joys of babies and poop :).
3. Maggie has really come into her own. What a good girl she is.
4. Yes on writing.
5. Happy to hear that you and Wizard had a nice time celebrating.
1. Snowed again ;).
2. Today is the Indian’s season opener. Crazy people, like my niece, are having to dress for football weather.
3. Dying for good onion rings.
4. Spring cleaning to begin tomorrow.
5. Have to start teaching hubs Suzuki piano beginning tomorrow because he wants to teach Harrison. I’m all for it. Middle one began lessons at 2 (really played) and youngest at two weeks (teach them to hold figure on a key and not press).
Have a wonderful weekend :)!

Silver, sorry for the late reply, today tuned into a long day. Now for your five:
1) The new Kindle book in the new world should find a home. I need to search it out and buy it tonight!
2) Resist the temptation! Stick to your deadlines, and then write the other ideas.
3) Crazy weather!
4) Okay I need to check out those books! I need them, I thinks….
5) LOL on “Oh, and the Only!” As a new grandma, I get it now! Really hope the weather cooperates so you can enjoy your favorite food, grandson and daughter!
Really hoping you have a great weekend!

Viki, as I said to Silver above, the day went south which is my excuse for a late reply. Maggie and Baby Slayer are both such bright spots in our lives right now! Okay onto your five:
1) The weather is whacked!
2) Hope the Indian’s have a good season! As a non sports fan, I root for whatever teams make the person I’m talking to happy
3) Oh, good onion rings sound perfect right now! Or tater tots, my really weird guilty pleasure that I eat once every five years. I used to love then, wonder if I still do??? Also wonder how I wandered so far off topic.
4) Spring…what now? I have some serious decluttering type of spring cleaning I need to do in my kitchen. Good luck on your spring cleaning!
5) Wait, you play piano??? That’s awesome if you do!! I’m tone deaf or close to it. I played a little guitar as a teenager, but I was limited by being, you know, tone deaf (or close enough) I think it’s wonderful that hubs wants to learn so he can teach Harrison!!
Hope you have an awesome weekend! Ours started on a bit of a sour note, but will get better

Sorry. Yesterday totally got away from me. Oh, man, I don’t miss diapers, but that is one cutey-patootie baby boy. Rock on, Baby Slayer! Yay for Maggie!
1) Yesterday gave me flashbacks of my former life as a Road Warrior. One trip north, three trips south. I probably put 150 miles on the car yesterday – which was about par with my days as outside sales.
2) I saw a bald eagle on one of my trips. I thought they’d all already gone north, so yay!
3) I also ran over a squirrel, but in my defense, he was just sitting there in the middle of my lane just over the crest of a hill. I had nowhere to go to miss him.
4) It snowed here last night. Just a dusting, but still… bleh.
5) Had to take Kira Cat to the vet. Another UTI for her. She’s on antibiotics now, and she’s feeling better, so it’s all good.

B.E. Thanks on Baby Slayer Okay your five:
1) I bet your glad your road warrior days are behind you for the most part now! That kind of travel sucks up the whole day and all our energy.
2) Bald Eagles are majestic!
3) I’m so sorry about the squirrel. Even if it was a clearly stupid squirrel, it’s not fun for you. I see them do that sometimes on our roads near or in the hills.
4) We need to get Mother Nature a calendar. Hope your weather clears up!
5) Poor Kira, UTIs are miserable. Hope the antibiotics clear it all up and she feels better.
Have a good weekend!
