Weekend Roundup

Happy Monday, Witches!

My weekend was calmer than my week, which is awesome. I needed a break to get on top of things. Most of you probably saw the Savaged Illusions Giveaway we posted on the blog over the weekend. If you haven’t entered yet, go here and do it! A big thank you to Carla for all her hard work on that!

Otherwise, I did some errands. I wasted a few hours doing physical and online shopping for some pictures to go on the walls in my bedroom. Then I declared that an Official Rabbit Hole and gave up for a while. Maggie and I took walks, I cleaned a bit and I’m working on Primal Magic.

I’ve also been trying to mentally will chocolate chip cookies or chocolate chunk brownies to appear in my kitchen, but so far, I’ve failed. I’m soooo tempted to bake, but I have this big complicated mess of a story (two stories really since Ram and Ginny are trying to shove into this book too…don’t ask!) that needs me to keep my butt in my chair as much as possible.

That was my weekend, how was yours?

I know aaallll about rabbit holes. LOLOL Yay on the giveaway–cool stuffs there. I hope it brings new fans and sells books! Carla–and YOU!–are awesome. Now I want cookies. And I totally sympathize with pushy characters from other books.

All-in-all, it was a pretty productive weekend. I dragg=ed tail Saturday due to insomnia. After writing very few words, I decided to conquer the kitchen backsplash. It looks AWESOME! To me anyway. There are pictures on my blog. Due to the pattern and the shape of what I was covering, it took a few hours. Then I had a nap.

Yesterday, I hit the book hard. I’m over 70K now, though that number will change because there are some “dangling” scenes I’m likely going to cut but save for a different book. Still, there’s quite a bit to add to this book and I’m looking at probably 80K by the time I’m done. Here’s hoping the trend continues and I get many words today.

That said, warm weather has finally hit and looks to be staying so I’m going to switch from winter to summer covers in the bedroom. That means laundry and moving the mattress. I always shift it when I change covers. It’s a pillow-top so no flipping to the other side, I just move it around so the head becomes the foot. That’s supposed to make them last longer. Whatever.

Cheers to a productive week for us all! 🥰

Yay for a calmer weekend! And yes, I saw all your stuffs and I got your newsletter. I’m so glad you have Carla to help with all the particulars now. That must be so much weight off your shoulders. Heh, what you need to do is order some cookies or baked goods and have them delivered. Tada! Writer fuel… claim it on your taxes. LOL

The weekend was still a mass of busyness as avoidance of reality. I’ve been working with my container garden and cleaning and baking and walking and reading. Plus, I actually got some writing done, too. Duke #2 is on its way.

You and Carla have done a great job!
I think you got quite a bit done this past weekend. It may not have been baking but that’s okay. Those chocolate cookies may just appear you never know when that comfort food magic will kick in.

I spent the weekend and this morning STILL working on my computer. I’m about to just give up.

It’s a very pretty day here and tonight it’s supposed to be clear. Maybe I’ll get to see the first Super Moon of the year, it’s the Pink Super Moon. Saw some photos of one from a few years ago and it is stunning.

I have to go make dinner.

Have a great afternoon and I can’t wait to find out how Ram and Ginny are getting into this book ☺.

Silver, we should all have cookies!

WOW!!! Okay you’re saying tile, so I’m assuming the backsplash is tile, but it looks liked stacked stone and it’s gorgeous! I’m in love with your backsplash, like bit sloppy wet coffee-and-chocolate kisses love. I need to get signed back into your blog so I can leave a comment (drives me crazy that I keep getting logged out, even though I thought I fixed that. It’s on my end, not yours). Anyway, GREAT JOB!!

And you can write too? Good think I’m already your friend or I might be jealous, LOL! Hope you got a lot more words out today.

Yeah I have those mattresses too. It’s awkward rather you flip or spin. I do it less and less these days.

    Hope your week is rocking!

B.E., Carla’s a huge help. I mention her so that you all know I’m not doing all this myself. We put enough unrealistic expectations on ourselves. But I knew I didn’t have enough energy to do it all.

I saw some of your plants on FB!! I was scrolling on my phone, which is why I don’t comment, my typing on my phone is awful. But I’m impressed with your container garden! You’ve grown most of it from seeds right?

And all the rest, baking (good) cleaning (blah) walking (good) and writing (fabulous!)

Oh and I laughed at claiming delivered baked goods on my taxes. I’m so going to tell Wizard and the two tax-sons I did that. They’ll probably stage an intervention, LOL! My middle son will defend me though :-)

Hope you had a great Monday!

Viki, I’m a little disappointed my magic didn’t make those cookies appear :-) And yeah, Carla and I worked on this for awhile. Now she get’s to go a whole day (so far) without pesky emails and texts from me!

How is it that MacAfee can’t solve this? It’s their software that’s not interfacing correctly, right? I’m so sorry. That would drive me out of my mind.

I hope you get to enjoy the Super Moon–maybe even indulge in a glass of wine. You definitely deserve it after the endless fight with the MacAfee issue.

Hope you have a great week!
