Monday Roundup

I finished the page proofs from SINFUL MAGIC and will send those off today! I really hope you all like the next two books.  But enough of my writer-insecurity.

So my weekend was great. I’m writing on a project that’s totally out of my norm, which is fun. I got to finally finish read the book KISS AT YOUR OWN RISK and it was awesome! I’m reading ONE SEASON OF SUNSHINE by Julia London and it’s pretty good. Not my usual type of book, yet I like it more than I thought I would.

Wizard watched the Super Bowl while I wrote a blog for Murder She Writes–since I’m actually writing this blog on Sunday before the Super Bowl, it’s very weird saying that. But that’s my plan at the moment. I’m not a football fan, but I know a lot of you are!

So question: Do you like watching the Super Bowl commercials? And as long as I’m asking questions,  how was your weekend?

I usually enjoy them but this year they seemed a bit lack luster.

We had a good weekend here, after being iced and then snowed in for 4 days we were all ready to get out of the house on Saturday. Now I just hope they are wrong that more snow is headed for us. YUCK!

The only reason I watch the Superbowl is for the commercials. Coke introduced an interesting series. Bud Light is always good. The Budweiser Clydesdales made me laugh. But the two that got gigglesnorts both belonged to car companies–VW (the little kid in the Darth Vader costume) and Audi (a “prison break”).

I laid in supplies for the winter storm, and finishedup the judging sheets for NRCA. Now I need to get them mailed out to my coordinators. This week, I HAVE to get back to writing!

WOOHOO on the page proofs for SINFUL MAGIC! I can’t wait for it and NIGHT MAGIC!!!!

I like the commercials I saw. The beaver commercial was awesome (even if I don’t remember which car company did it). I missed most of the game, though, because my sister called in the middle and we ended up chatting for over an hour. It was totally worth it.

All in all, the weekend was a win. I’m within a chapter of finishing my WIP, the Packers won the Super Bowl and the Steelers made the game interesting. =o)

My weekend was good. I’m a football fan so I always watch the superbowl. I’m not a Packers or Steelers fan so I didn’t really care who won this year, but it was a good game. I liked the little darth vader boy, and the beaver commercials. Doritos also had a good one with the guy sucking the cheese off the other guys finger, that one made us laugh.

The Superbowl was this weekend? Guess that shows how much I pay attention to pro football, eh?

My weekend was mostly uneventful. We got 4 or 5 inches of snow Saturday while I was sleeping. I was supposed to go out with friends that night but one of them had to cancel. Probably not a bad thing for me as I wouldn’t have been able to get my car out of the garage without getting stuck. I put off clearing off the driveway until yesterday since I didn’t have to go out. I spent some time reading. I finished Regan Hastings book. It was good, but I don’t think she’s gonna be a favorite author for me. I also read the Shannon K Butcher and Jessica Andersen stories in the ON THE HUNT anthology. My only complaint about those: the stories were too short!

    Happy Monday, witches.

Amanda, glad you got a break from the snow and ice…really hoping you escape the predicted storm. The weather has been so brutal this year–umm, except for us in Southern CA who are having 80 degree weather.

Silver, I missed most of the commercial so I’ll look for the ones you mentioned. I tried to watch, but got distracted!

YAY on the judging sheets. That contest is a tremendous amount of work. And it’s all volunteer, so thank you for doing it!

B.E. Wizard liked the beaver commercial too, but I missed it. Good to know your sister wins over the superbowl!

Wizard was NOT HAPPY about the Packers winning. He objected LOUDLY.

You’re so close on your WIP! Yay!

Val, I’m so going to have to see that cheese one–somehow I don’t think I’m picturing it quite right :-)

Dawn, so sorry about your Friday night plans with your friends, but it sounds like a really bad night to have been out anyway. Still, it’s disappointing!

And can I just say that the way you phrased that about the Visions of Magic and the author was really nice.

    The anthology sounds good!
