Sorry! I got home from a family Easter party and forgot to post a blog.
Today I’m blogging over at Romance Bandits and would love it if you all stopped by to say hi.
I need a vacation from my vacation! Holy Bunnies, people, this having fun stuff is hard work! Well the first part wasn’t fun. Cleaning the carpets was just hard work. Who knew we had so much furniture and crap to move? And then it had to be moved back. But the good news is that once the carpet dried, all the weird buckles in the carpet laid flat again.
Friday, after moving all the furniture back, we went to a casino and played the slots. The first half hour, I won steadily and Wizard pouted. I may have laughed a little bit. But then I lost and he won…it’s not as funny when Wizard laughs at me. After the casino took all our money we called it a day.
Saturday we went to Disneyland. Wow it was busy! But we had a blast. Eight hours and Disneyland left us exhausted.
Sunday we went to the family party for Easter and to celebrate my Mother In Law’s birthday adn had more fun.
During all this time, I only got to read one book. I thought I’d have time to read more.
How was your Easter weekend?

Glad your carpet turned out okay, Jen. And the casino sounds like fun. I’ve been to the ones in Detroit and usually have a good time there.
My weekend was pretty nice. I ended up not having to go to my friend’s house. She came down this way with the kids on Friday. Saturday, my cousin had a b-day party for her daughter. I went to that in the afternoon. Then, I took my best friend and the kids out to dinner. Sunday I went to Easter dinner at my dad’s cousin’s house. It was a good time. Unlike you, I did get to read this weekend. I read Jayne Anne Krentz WHITE LIES and SIZZLE AND BURN, books 2 & 3 of her Arcane Society series. Now I’m reading her THE THIRD CIRCLE (written as Amanda Quick), the 4th in the series.
Happy Monday, witches!

Sheesh Jen, I’m exhausted just reading what you did … I need a nap!
Glad your rug flattened out

I’m with ban! I need a nap after *helping* you with all that, Jen. We had rain yesterday. I wanted to run outside and dance in it. We haven’t had significant rain for 258 days and the grass/wild fires were getting to be an every-day occurrence.
Saturday, I got the NRCA finalists finalized and notices out to the coordinators for notification today. I’m ready to crawl back into bed but I have a revision phone call scheduled with Secret Agent Lady for this afternoon. No rest for the witch!

Silver you can have all the rain we have been getting here in WV. Our May flowers are going to drowned in it. I had hoped to spend the week end planting my garden but can’t put seeds in mud. Well you can but my son didn’t want to hold my umbrella for me. I told he is wasn’t so sweet at 12 that he would melt. Ungrateful kid. May be this week end will be nice enough to do the planting. By that time My Son will get his pay back when he has to mow the grass twice because it is so high.

Dawn the casino was fun We live pretty close by so we should go more often.
Sounds like you did have a busy weekend! But fun. And isn’t Jayne Anne Krentz amazing? She’s hilarious in person too!

Ban, LOL! We got a little carried away with doing things. Today is quieter, finally.
I am sooo glad on the carpets too! It’s crazy, I’ve never seen anything like it. I should have taken pictures.

Silver, I think doing the NRCA contest is more work than what Wizard and I did! Congrats on getting it done and the calls going out. I’m hearing good news from friends that they are finalists which thrills me for them!
Good luck on the revision call! Which book is this for?

Kat, kids! Aren’t they wonderful? LOLOL! Too funny about the extra high grass he has to mow now, though
Hope the rain stops and you can plant! I want to do some flower too, just haven’t had the time.

Jen, it’s for the RomSusp SHADOW DANCE. We’ve had to put the call off until tomorrow morning–something came up on her end. She said she really liked it but there’s some minor stuff to be fixed before she shops it.
And I need to email you. LOL You’re on my list. Somewhere. If I can find the list…. *wanders off n a daze*

Silver, minor stuff? That’s great then! You can do minor stuff! That doesn’t sound like revisions where you pull a thread and it all unravels.
No worries on emails, I know how it is. My email breeds every time I close my eyes

Viki, what a nice weekend! But I had to laugh about the not chewing part! We’ve had meals like that

Jen, Saturday was pretty busy. The rest of the weekend was pretty relaxing. I had a long weekend, too, as I didn’t have to work Thurs. night or Fri. night.
Silver, I’m with Kat. You can have all the rain you want from here in Ohio. It rained most of today. That’s on top of all the rain we’ve got in the past week. We have flooding in some areas up here. According the local news, we’ve already had more that twice the amount of rain for the month and it’s supposed to rain most of this week

Dawn, glad you had the long weekend for a change!
And sorry about the rain! We must send all the unwanted rain to Silver

Wow! I am tired too just reading about all you did. We had a pretty low-key weekend. We went to some friends’ house on Saturday for low country boil and Sunday just hung out at the house.
I will happily send any rain to anyone that wants it. I am sick of the t-storms we have been getting and would like a full nights rest please. Hopefully the storms are over with for today and we can sleep tonight.
