I just finished SHADOW KISS, the third book in Richelle Mead’s Vampire Academy Series. The needing hooked my and now I’m gonna have to buy the fourth one, BLOOD PROMISE! Before that, I read BLOOD LAW by Karen Tabke, and THE RELUCTANT NUDE by Meg Maguire. Both those books were unusal, and intriguing in very different ways.
I think next, I may read MY KILLER, MY LOVE by Mona Karel. But I’m also really anxious to read BLOOD PROMISE–oh how to choose!
So what are you reading?

I’m reading Keri Arthur’s THE DARKEST KISS. I really have taken to this series.

Well, I just finished Carolyn Jewel’s MY DANGEROUS PLEASURE, the fourth in her My Immortals series. I loved it. Her characters are all great. I’m waiting for her to write Kynan and Maddy’s story. Before that I read this book called SINFUL MAGIC. Maybe you’ve heard of it And Jen, if Ram’s Soul Mirror is who I think it might be…well, you’re just evil. Evil, I say!! Before that I read Nalini Singh’s KISS OF SNOW. It took her long enough to get to Hawk and Sienna’s story. I’ve only been waiting for this one since, oh, the first book of the series!!
Now I have to choose between three that come out today. Jessica Andersen’s STORM KISSED, Karen Chance’s HUNT THE MOON and an anthology, HEXED, with Yasmine Galenorn. I’m with you, Jen…how to choose…

I just finished Dead Reckoning and I am back on Dragon Bound again. Enjoying it a bit more now but still not 100% sure. Heroes that aren’t nice just kind of bug me and Dragos just isn’t that nice at times.

Currently i am reading Sinful Magic, and Jen i have to say WOW!! You started that book off with a bang!!! I am also reading the Dexter series by Jeff Lindsay i must say he has a really creative way about writing about a serial killing blood splatter specialist lol! I love the paranormal romance, but i love blood! yet i don’t really like vampires, ahhh my mind makes me laugh!! I am going to have to look into some of these books everybody is mentioning tho, they all sound fantastic!!!

I can do shape shifters, witches, wizards, werewolves- or other weres. I can handle paranormal powers of all kinds. I just can not read about vampires. I know that there are several great writers I am missing out on but I have a reading hang up when it comes to books with them as main characters in a positive way. Lucky for me Jen you are writing more stories about witches and wing slayer I can enjoy.

I’m going to be weird and say, I’m reading HANNIBAL. Yeah, I know. For me to veer from romance…weird. I’ve had really odd reading tastes lately.

Viki, oh I haven’t read her in a while! But I remember liking her very much.

Dawn, I haven’t gotten KISS yet cause I realized it’s hardback, but I’m going to have to get it! Or buy it on my Kindle.
On Sinful–as soon as Ram figures out what’s in store for him, I’m going to be a dead woman. Just saying… Let me just say this, you’re probably right…and wrong

Amanda, Dragos isn’t nice, you’re dead on with that. What I liked about him is that he tried to learn from his mistakes. But that doesn’t mean the book will work for you. It’s always fun to see how people will respond so differently to the same book.

Alyssa, you would not believe how much I worried about that opening scene in SINFUL. I tried to write some softer ways to open it, but Key was having none of that.
The Dexter series sounds interesting. I seriously burned out on any kind of serial killer book a while back, but I’m recovering now!

Kat, interesting on vampires. I like them and read them all the time, but so far, no vamp story has taken hold of me. So you’re safe for a while–I’ll stick to witches, shapeshifters and a few other supernatural creatures.

Ashlynn, HANNIBAL? LOL! Okay I read the second book he wrote several years ago. I think veering from romance is healthy, actually.

Ashlynn, you’re not alone. I’ve read Hannibal, Silence of the Lambs, Red Dragon, and I tried reading Hannibal Rising, but lost interest. Variety is the spice of life.
As for me, reading Mary E. Wilkins Freeman and Amy Lowell for summer classes. Fun, fun stuff. I’m eyeballing all the fun stuff sitting on my shelf though. It’s sad.

Can I just say…Thank God for a/c!! And that it’s working in my car again. I came home from taking my car in to get the a/c fixed, and my car’s info center had the outside temp as 101. Just ewwwwwwwww. Times like this, I really hate summer

Holy Unicorn, Batman! Sorry I’m late to the party but…uhm…I was up until the wee hours and when I finally dragged my sorry carcass out of bed this morning, I had to keep reading. I just finished Thea Harrison’s DRAGON BOUND. I. Loved. This. Book. Like damn and whoah! THANK YOU, JEN! I might not have picked it up without your strong recommendation.
Next up, Kate Carlisle’s MURDER UNDER COVER. But that’ll be a few days. I’ve got to get caught up with my own stuff. LOL

Sounds like you might be all work and no play right now, but maybe you’ll get a break soon.

Silver! So glad you loved it! Really different, isn’t it? I don’t get that excited about a book very often, but I just loved it. (And I’m all kinds of jealous!)

Stupid blogroll. It dumped the past few days of your posts on me this morning instead of when they actually posted. I wasn’t MIA on purpose.
I’m still waiting for Sinful Magic to be delivered. Meanwhile, I’m reading Roxanne’s Shiver of Fear. And I just finished Gini Koch’s Alien in the Family.
