What a weekend. First I went to my RWA Meeting, and had a great time. While I was there, I picked the brain of a friend who used to be a legal secretary, getting all the info I needed for my book I’m working on. I don’t need it to be a procedural, I just need to to be plausible That seemed to totally free up my writing.
Then I came home to find Wizard had cleaned all the windows and screens, inside and out, on our house. We have a LOT of windows on a two story house. A lot–just believe me on this. It’s a massive job, one I would prefer we do together.
Wizard does”t agree. He usually waits until I’m off somewhere and does it alone so I don’t hurt my hands. He’s devious like that.
But he still wasn’t happy. Because then he realized how (embarrassingly) dirty the blinds are. So yesterday, he spent about three hours cleaning the worst of the blinds; slat by slat. He absolutely refused to let me help.
I’m thrilled he did this, and the house feels so much cleaner. I just wish he’d let me help more! But I get to appreciate his hard work every single day
Also, Carla (my assistant) finished the banner for the Jennifer Apodaca FB page I put her through a fair amount of
torture changes on this, wanting to get it just right. You can see the finished banner here if you like. I’m really happy with it! I’ll have to start adding content soon.
And finally, I’m reading FURY by Laurann Dohner and love it. It’s a Samhain (E-Publisher) book. There are print copies but they are very expensive. This is the first book in a series of New Species and totally cool. I’m really enjoying it when I can steal a few moments to read.
How was your weekend? What are you reading?
