Weekend Roundup

This is so weird…Biker Witch and I went out on Saturday and didn’t get into trouble. Well except that she distracted me by talking about puppies and I missed the exit to go to lunch. I had to double back, but otherwise, no trouble.

I’m pretty sure that’s because Biker Witch is still recovering from The Crud and just wasn’t up to causing trouble. And you all know that I never cause trouble. I’m a good witch :-)

We had a great lunch that included chocolate cake–so much cake we both had to take some home. Wizard practically tackled me when I came in the door with left over chocolate cake.

In health news, I have to say that I WAS RIGHT. My x-rays on my lumbar came back fine. Whatever I did to it is healing, just slowly. While I like to gloat about being right, mostly I’m just grateful.

In writing news,  I had hoped to have an announcement regarding the Wing Slayer Hunters, but it simply didn’t work out.  I am still hoping I can finish CAGE MAGIC and self publish it, along with more WSH stories.  But the way things are going, that has to be around other projects I’m doing.

I’ll have more to tell you soon!

Okay, you’re turn–how was your weekend?

Sounds like you and Biker Witch had a good time at lunch. Glad to hear she’s recovering from The Crud. I keep hearing that it’s sticking around longer this year – an average of around 3 weeks.

Yum! – lots of chocolate cake. Now how did Wizard know you had cake? Must have been so good that it called to him ;).

Isn’t it true that we know our bodies and what’s up with them so much better than any other person, even a doctor. You continue to take it easy and heal.

As much as we all are dying for more WSH we understand how things go and the fact that you want to write more of them is always a good sign.

I hope you have a great day!

No chocolate cake, but we did have Ginger Bread and Butter Pecan ice cream at my house.

Yes take it easy on your body and on your writting self. When things are ment to be for the rest of the WS books the doors will open and the way will be right.

I has fun at the street fair my family volentered at this saturday. On Sunday I tied a rope around my waist and drove into the back of my closet to get out the winter clothes. Man it seems that I am having to bring them out earilier than normal this year. There was frost on the pumpkins this morning. Brrrrr……

I swear to god, who do I have to bitch slap at these publishers to get them to see the error in their thinking?? Bah. (Okay, so I’ve never really bitchslapped anyone, but it’s the thought that counts, right?) Sorry whatever it was fell through. :HUGS: But at least you had cake. Cake makes everything better.

My weekend was a blur. I finished the book, did the synopsis and the query, jumped through all the hoops and got my submission sent off to HV yesterday at 4pm-ish. I even got the little Thank You for Submitting email, so I know it’s in their hands. Other than book stuff, I unclogged a shower (ewww, gross). This week will be devoted to non-writing stuff. You know, like cleaning and yard work.

Viki, Wizard knew I had cake because he saw the take home container in my hand when I came in. Plus he knew I’d get the cake and not be able to eat it all.

Did you have a good weekend?

Kat, I’ve never had that flavor of ice cream, it sounds good!

LOL on the rope to go in the closet! It had cooled off here and we even had rain, now we’re back to hot weather.

So glad you had fun at the fair!

Thanks on WSH…it’s been such a weird up and down ride.

B.E., CONGRATULATIONS! I knew you’d do it!! I’m so excited for you I’m bouncing in my chair!

Ewww on the shower! Wizard does that because EWWWW!!! Even though it’s always my hair.

In this case, it’s really not the publishers fault. They approached me, but after weeks of various things, I realized the deal wasn’t going to get the readers what they wanted/needed so I turned it down. It was a really tough decision.

Yes Jenn, I had a pretty good weekend. I took Andrew to pick up his new car Saturday morning. We took Julie (Joe’s wife) out for dinner and afterwards went to the eldest sons art exhibit.

So Sunday all I did was grocery shop, clean and cook. I’m wrong. John took me to Menchies for frozen pumpkin yogurt Sunday afternoon. As we were leaving he placed his container between the seats. You guessed it – he made a sharp turn and it all ended up on me. He’s big on berries so my brand new pants had blackberry smashed into them :(. I’ve got most of it out but there is still a small spot that won’t budge.

I made mint chocolate chip cookies last week and am in a cookie mood so I think I’m making molasses cookies this afternoon ;).

Wizard still cracks me up with the cake :). Our men know us so well. And they profit from the knowledge.

    Enjoy your day.

Sorry to be checking in so late. The Only had eye appointment this morning and I had to chauffeur as they dilated her eyes. Everything is good and she doesn’t have to return for 6 months. Yay!

Weekend? I chewed nails through college football and NLCS baseball. All my teams won but dang! Cardiac city! I also finished formatting WOLF MOON, put it up, then discovered formatting oops, and spent a frustrating time figure out what I’d done. All fixed now, re-uploaded, and under review. Correct version will be available today and should “autocorrect” on the Kindle Fire (that was the only device that was wonky–and first chapter only.)

Now I want cake, ice cream, and cookies!

Viki, the new car is so exciting!

So sorry about your pants. The small spot probably isn’t noticeable but YOU know its there and that’s so annoying. Hope you still got to eat your frozen yogurt!

Silver, great news on The Only’s eyes!

Cograts on getting WOLF’S MOON up! I’ll like, tag and buy ASAP. Today has been Distraction Central here. Glad all the kinks are worked out–they happy so easily in all the auto-conversions and we often don’t have control over it.
