First, for all of you hit by the cold miserable storm–I hope you stayed warm and safe. It’s been cold and rainy here in So. Cal., but much of the U.S. was slammed hard to huge storms.
My weekend was a blur. I sent my book to my editor on Saturday–YAY!! To celebrate Wizard and I went shopping for toys for CHiPs for Kids. We had a blast! We set a budget then had the best time picking out toys–definitely the highlight of our weekend. We’re taking those to a donation center tonight. We also got a tree, but haven’t decorated it yet. Still, it’s progress. This weekend was the start on the nonstop running around and craziness. I don’t think I’ll do a lot of baking this year, there’s just no time.
I’m doing some plotting on more books.
Oh before I forget, PLAY HARD is free on Amazon Kindle / iBooks iTunes / and Kobo
So how was your weekend?

What a wonderful weekend you had! I agree with you that it is SO much fun to pick out toys and things for children. You get one of those really warm feelings inside.
Congratulations on sending the book off to your editor.
Have fun decorating your tree :). Ours will not go up this year nor any of my decorations. I just can’t trust this crazy kitten.
I’m cutting back on all the fudge and stuff this year too. I made a batch yesterday but it’s for the kid to take on his drive to Winter Park, CO. I figured load him up with sugar and he’ll stay awake. I have to get busy on cards and stuff but the time is just getting away from me. Oh well, if I get it done I get it done ;).
Have a great day!

Still alive here in SW MO. The storm dumped 8-10 inches, but not the ice they got south of us and not as much snow as they got north of us. We landed in the sweet spot. Of course, I haven’t left the house since last Tuesday. Storms are so much nicer when you don’t have to go out in them.
Yay for your book and your shopping and your tree! I wish I could bake cookies and send them to you. I have time to bake, but my butt doesn’t need anymore cookies. I’m starting to look like Mrs. Claus. LOL
This weekend… Shoveled snow, made a lot of cocoa, watched football… I also did a bit of reading and some writing. Mostly the usual stuff. (I do not want the shoveling thing to become ‘usual stuff’.)

Yay for book off to editor! I’m about to pull the “lever” on one of those. One last read through and then…
We only got 4-7 inches but temps haven’t been above freezing since Thursday. Like B.E., I haven’t been out either. Lawyer Guy has ventured out a few times and he actually headed to the office today. I have to get out tomorrow–groceries and hair cut before I fly to New Orleans on Thursday. Our roads are still snow/iced packed (ice because the surface melts then refreezes overnight).
Have a great week, everyone!

I hope you don’t mind that I post this here. I didn’t quickly see anywhere else to comment. Thank You for writing the Plus One series! I picked up Play Hard a couple of months ago when it was on sale. I loved The Proposition! It was the first time I read an e-book and clicked the link to buy the next book at the end of the story! I couldn’t click the link fast enough! I would have done the same at the end of Possession, but the 3rd book wasn’t out yet. Life got in the way, but I am so glad I found out Obsession is out. Merry Christmas to me! Thanks again for Sloane & Kat!
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

Viki, we always get it done, right? We’ll keep telling ourselves that! What a great mom you are to make fudge for your son to take on his trip. Which makes me think of BLB as he loves fudge. Last time I made it–he took it all home
You’re smart to not put the tree up. By next year, little Spunk will be a little more tree-friendly.

B.E., I don’t need any cookies either! I like making them for others, and testing recipes–that kind of thing. But I need to cut back in a bad way. LOLOL on the Mrs. Clause thing!
That’s a LOT of snow! I can’t even imagine shoveling. I’m too much of a wimp to live in snow. You all have way more patience and fortitude than I do!
