Time to break out the appltinis and rock the weekend! Although I do have a book to write…one that has taken for-freaking-ever to get rolling. I’m making progress in feeling and hearing the story which is a great sign. So naturally, yesterday afternoon I got revisions for THE COWBOY MARINE. Which means I’ll have to set aside this book to work on those
But the good news is the editor loves THE COWBOY MARINE and said the book is in good shape. Actually she said quite a lot about what she loved in the book and I’m so happy about that. Like…appletini happy And after reading over the revision suggestions, I agree with her so we’re on the same page there too. Now I just have to roll up my sleeve, dive in and get to work.
What are your weekend plans?

That is such great news on Once A Marine. It must feel so good to be in sync with your editor on the book. I can’t wait to get it :). Enjoy the appletini ;).
As for the current book, it will come together. It always does but on it’s time frame which is so frustrating to you.
No big plans that I’m aware of this weekend. I think I’ll get the youngest to help me pull out my bed and vacuum under it. Oh the dust bunnies ;).
Have a great weekend!

Viki At my house they are dust Rhinos and live in herds.
The family might try to get out and do some necessary clothes shopping and get some other stuff before the next round of snow hits. Everyone out here is ready for spring. I tell them they have been spoiled and we are finally having a real winter in our part of WV.
Stay safe and warm what ever part of the country you are in.

I’m so glad you’re rolling on this book. Bummer that you have to shift over to do revisions, but those are important, too, so yay for that, too. =o) Have fun with your appltinis.
I’ll be watching the Olympics this weekend, most likely, and reading while I watch. I also have to get some gumption back and finish this rewrite. I’m only a couple chapters from being done and I’m dragging my feet. (Probably because once I’m done, I’ll be letting other people read it. :shudder:)
Happy weekend, Witches!

Yay on editor love! And congrats on the WIP rolling along. I’m still dreaming in Excel sheets. This year’s NRCA is going to leave me bald. The reader/judges are giving me fits.
We have snow and arctic temperatures so I’ll probably stick close to home though I do need to hit the grocery store soon. I want to catch up on some reading, get back to writing, and hopefully get caught up on the contest paperwork.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Viki, I’m just getting to the blog late today–been out all morning. I wanted to let you know you won the SWEET REVENGE e-book on my FB page. You can email me at Jenniferlyonbooks@gmail.com to claim it.
Is it wrong that I have no desire to vacuum under a bed? I used to be a cleaning freak but now I just don’t have time or energy. Hope you get a lot done and then have some fun!

Kat, it seems to be an exceptionally tough winter. I just wen tout to do some quick clothes shopping too, but I need to do more. Wish it would magically appear in my closet!
Hope you beat the next round of snow!

B.E., its okay on the revisions, I expected it. It’s just part of the job
Stop dragging your feet! I know how hard it is to let others read it, but its the only way to make your writing a career! As you know, it only gets worse once a book is out in the public.
I tried watching some skating last night but the commercials and filler drove me crazy.

Silver you’re juggling an insane amount of work. I’m sorry the reader/judges are giving you fits. Its hard to coordinate and then get people to stay on schedule.
Stay warm! Hope you’re feeling better now.

Thanks Jenn – I’ll send you an email.
I used to keep under my bed SO clean but when we had this bad made by the Amish it was just too heavy to move. I need the boys to help me out and it’s very hard to get us all together to clean ;).
Kat – Thank you for the laugh – dust Rhinos in herds- love it ;). I don’t have as many “herds” since they seem to stick to the kittens whiskers. Have a good time shopping.
