Happy Friday and News!

I hope this blog posts at the correct time. The server is doing some maintenance over night so it may be delayed. If the blog shows up late, that’s why. For once it’s not my fault, LOL

And here’s my news: I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve sold the Brazilian Portuguese rights for THE PROPOSITION (book 1 of The Plus One Chronicles) to Editora Charme Publisher in Brazil. I’m really excited about it! The editor there contacted me, and then we were half way through negotiations when my Internet crashed. Thankfully I was able to email the editor through my phone and let her know. She was very understanding and patient. We just concluded and signed the deal yesterday.

Between this deal and the German one, Kat and Sloane are turning into world travelers :-) I can honestly say that I never imagined this happening when I sat down to write these books. All I cared about was finding the best way to tell their story that meant so much to me.

My weekend will be all work. Real Life keeps infringing on my writing time, and I know edits for THE COWBOY MARINE  (I just got work that we’ll be changing the title) are coming my way soon. On top of that, Ryan and I are still working on the audio for POSSESSION. We’re almost there, though!

What are you doing this weekend?

Congratulations! What fantastic news. Sloane and Kat are putting lots of stamps on their passports :). I’m very happy for you.

Don’t work too hard over the weekend. You need to have those fun moments too.

Did you hear there was a study released last week that if you go for a 5 to 10 minute walk creativity is boosted? Pretty cool, you get a little workout and get thoughts on track all at once.

I’m not doing much this weekend. I think I’ll get ready for ant season. Try and nab them before they make it into the house.

    Have a great weekend :).

Wow! That’s awesome news. I hope the Brazilians love your books as much as we do. :hugs: Good luck with your working weekend. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that real life doesn’t infringe.

Nothing doing over here. I wish I had something more exciting or interesting to say, but my life is pretty much reading, writing and home projects. And yes, I am writing again. I promised myself I would and so I got back at it yesterday. One day in a row! Woohoo! ;o)

    YAYAYAYAYAYYAYAYAYAYYAYAYYAYAYAY!!!!!!!!

That is absolutely awesome news, Jen! Well, besides the whole internet thing. :(

I’m supposed to get notes back from Mr. HEd (who I hope survives the change in ownership, since Harlequin will now be a part of Harper-Collins) so I’ll be madly scrambling to finish out those 1st three chapters and updating the synopsis to resubmit before heading off for a week of boredom on jury duty starting Monday. :(

Have a great weekend and week?!? I’ll be mostly absent. :(

Viki, thank you :-) It’s exciting, but Kat and Sloane are getting to travel a lot more than me!

I hadn’t heard that study but I absolutely believe it.

I hope you can block the ants–they are resourceful little critters.

    B.E., thanks!

Glad to hear you’re back to writing! I saw on FB or somewhere you were off for a month. It’s hard to get back into it once we take off.

You’re life is exciting, you love your home and doing projects, and that’s a good thing :-)

Silver, I just heard early this morning but haven’t had a chance to read the article yet (I had an early appt). However, I’m sure there aren’t big changes yet. I don’t think you have anything to worry about at this point.

Hope jury duty isn’t too boring. Wizard has that coming up soon too.

JD for me is BORING! If I get seated, it’ll be because mine was the last name called, no one has any preemptive challenges left and the judge won’t excuse me for cause…and I have a LOT of causes why attorneys don’t want me. Problem is, none of them are statutory exemptions. *sigh* Oh well. I have contest books to read so I’ll knock them out well before deadline. :)

I’m with you on boring, Silver. And yeah, I figured you wouldn’t be the idea juror for most attorneys. Hopefully you can concentrate on the contest books!
