Weekend Roundup

Three weeks until Wizard retires… Actually three weeks and two days, but whose counting :-)

We had a great weekend, especially Saturday. I did a little work in the morning, then we hung out at the pool and had half-strength (only half the amount of triple sec and tequila) margaritas. Well I had one, Wizard had one and a half because we’re totally wild like that. Then we came in and made a steak and lobster dinner. But we weren’t done! After that…well a couple hours after that, then we had ice cream. And then Sunday morning we went out to breakfast.

Which mean someone (named JENNIFER LYON APODACA) needs to go on a diet. Soon. But not today, because today I’m meeting old friends for lunch and I can’t wait for that! One of my friends, Marianne, is here from Pennsylvania and I’m so happy to get the chance to see her.

And also, dieting totally suck. Although I am getting back into an exercise routine :-)

I’m slowly getting back into my writing routine, and really surprised how much I’ve been drawn back into the Wing Slayer world.  At the same time, this other sexy contemporary series is hovering at the edge of my mind begging me to hurry with Linc’s book. I’m trying!

Now I have a question for any of you who made it this far in the blog:  CAGED MAGIC is mostly about Linc and Risa, however Ram and Ginny have a point of view in there as they try to find a way to have a future even though Ginny is not Ram’s soul mirror. Ram is torn between the woman he loves–Ginny, and the witch he needs, Shayla. How do you all feel about more than one story line like that in a book?

So how was your weekend?

You two are as wild as the hubs and I are :). I had a bottle of rum for 6 years and I finally used it up making rum balls.

I’m glad you had a great weekend. You and Wizard have so much fun.

Mine was good too but I didn’t work on the insurance like I was supposed to. I’m so afraid of Obama’s web site and putting personal info into it. If it were secure and all I might be okay. Hubs on the other hand is going with his veterans insurance so this is all on me – yuck!

You have me wondering who this new guy is that’s trying to push Linc along. He’s rather gutsy taking on a Wing Slayer;). In answer to you question about the second story thread, I’m good with it. I just like the second story line to be less up front so as not to take away from the main thread and maybe add to it.

Have a really great time at lunch today :)!

Ahhh, you wild and crazy kids! ;) And what were you doing between steak and lobster and ice cream? Hrmmmm? *waggles brows*

You know me and my multiple POVs. I don’t have a problem with reading or writing them. And oh dear on Ram. I get the feeling a menage is not going to be the answer. :-?

    Have a great week everyone!

YUMMM, margaritas! Hint for the diet: Don’t call it a diet. Just adjust your eating habits, smaller eating portions, healthier options (I’m sure you’ve heard it before). Easier to keep it up if it is a lifestyle adjustment and not a diet. Good luck!

Anyway we get a Wing Slayers book is okay with me :-P

Write where your characters take you.

First of all diet is an ugly word and even though I should be on one…no. Not going there. :P

I think you have the chops to write how the story is telling you to write it. If Ram needs to be in there, then he needs to be in there. But makes me sad that’s Ginny is not his soul mirror. :( Surely you can fix this!

    Have a good one, all!

You rebels, you. ;o) I hear ya on the diet thing and on the exercise thing. I probably won’t join you, but I totally hear you. Yay for getting back into the Wing Slayer world, and for the contemporary whispering in your ear. Even when stories are clamoring and climbing over one another being irritatingly pushy, I love them – because when they’re being obnoxious, it means my creativity is working.

I love having two threads running side by side – cuz, ya know, that’s how life goes sometimes – as long as the author does it right, which I know you will. I can’t wait to read this book. I’ve missed the guys.

The weekend here was non-existent. Football sucked, baseball sucked, golf was only kinda interesting. I wrote lots of words and I’m about a week out from having this rewrite done. And then I really need to do some housework, because gah… dustbunnies!

Viki, I was thinking of you this weekend. I hate giving out personal info too. I hope you can figure out the best thing to do.

This guy has to wait–I want to get Linc’s book done. I owe this to myself and the readers to try.

Hope you have a great day!

Why Silver, I don’t know what you mean…what would Wizard and I be doing???

I cracked up on your menage thought–you would be correct unless something drastically changes. It’s certainly not in the plotline right now!

Labrat11, hey so nice to see you!! You’re so right on the diet thing. But I do need to get myself to think about what I’m eating a bit more. Except I don’t want to :-(

Thank you so much on the Wing Slayer books!!!

Ashlynn, aw, thank you! I don’t see a choice in how I write this–it’s their story and this is the way they want it told.

Diets is an ugly word, good point!

Ginny and Ram are really REALLY going to have to work and sacrifice if they want a happy ending. I actually feel a little bad for putting them through this. Let’s see if I can redeem myself in their eyes by Ram’s book… :-)

Wow, B.E., you’re cranking hard on your rewrite, good for you! I’m so happy to hear it!

But sorry about your sports teams letting you down. They should always be there for you!

Hope you have a great week!
