So who went out shopping? I stayed home, I haven’t even started Christmas shopping yet. I look at a few online deals, but didn’t buy anything. Mostly I worked. I’m about a third of the way into my revisions. I’m telling you this book EXPOSING THE HEIRESS and CAGED MAGIC are two of the most frustrating books I’ve ever worked on. But I hit a turning point his weekend on revising EXPOSING THE HEIRESS, and most of that is due to the fact that I had coffee with Biker Witch (my sister) on Saturday. We were just hanging out, when I was telling her what was going on with this book.
And I blurted it out; I feel so sorry for Hunt and Alyssa, I’m having to force them together sexually before they are ready. That was just a random comment, but it stuck with me all night, and the next day I realized what I had to do to make it work.
The point of this story is IT’S GOOD TO WALK AWAY FROM A PROJECT WHEN WE’RE STUCK ON IT. I’ve been doing that more and more lately and it’s helping. Plus having a sister like Biker Witch who will leaving me alone about it when I don’t want to talk about a book (sometimes I need to NOT think about it) and then listen when I’m ready is pretty awesome too
And now to the other side of writing. So Wizard and I were watching some version of House Hunters that reminded me of a heroine I always wanted to write. So I tell Wizard about it, and he gets super excited. “You have to write this down.” And he’s throwing out ideas.
I’m like “Whoa dude! I have like four or five books to write before I can get to that.”
But Wizard has the solution to that. “So write faster.”
Seriously? LOLOL! I wish I could!
How was your weekend?

First Wizard is too much! I love him – you guys are So cute. So, write faster :).
See, going out and relaxing a bit with Biker Witch did the trick. You need to hang out for coffee whenever you feel stuck. It seems that she and Wizard have helped you through hard spots before and it seems they’ve all been like this one. You relax while talking about the problem and then things flow.
No shopping here. Never have and never will do Black Friday.
Have a really great day!

Write faster *snorts* Just like a man! Like you can wave a magic wand that POOF you’re wonder woman who can type like the wind and every word is pristine. HA!
I feel your pain though. Got a heroine, who is almost anti-heroine, who is pissed I’m not writing her story…uh, she is 3 books away. She is currently locked in a padded room.
We shopped this weekend. Got most done. Kids wanted big stuff this year all from same place so made it easy. All musical stuff.
Its good to take a break. I think it helps when we’re beating our head on a wall.
Have a good one!!

Write faster?! ROFL Wizard’s so funny. Personally, I want two clones. Then I can churn out three times the stuff without turning into a charcoal briquette. Or I can write while one of them edits and another does proofreading and marketing. Ah, what a pretty dream.
No shopping for me. I really need to get my butt in gear because everything has to be shipped.
Yay for Biker Witch! I’m so glad your time with her helped you figure out how to make the book work.
I officially ‘won’ NaNo. Even if I didn’t actually do much writing over the past week. And now I’m just about done with the rewriting, so it’s all new words and they just feel crappy. Bleh. But they’re on the page, so that’s something. I’ll fix them during edits.

Viki, I’m with you on Black Friday.
It’s true we have to get away from the problems for a while.
Hope you’re having a great Monday!

Ashlynn, shopping makes more sense when you know exactly what you want
I wish I could write faster!
Good luck keeping that heroine contained, LOL!

B.e, I’d love a clone too! Especially if she writes faster/better than me
Congrats on your NANO goal! Even if the words feel crappy, yhou have them and can beat them into shape (as you pretty much said) in edits. Much better than blank pages!

I hate crowds so I mostly stayed inside hiding. LOL I did venture out Saturday to a B&N searching for the Jan. issue of RT. My review for COWGIRLS is in it. My local B&N didn’t have it out yet so I picked up “standard” presents for the family while I was there. Standard presents are those that people get every year, like socks and underwear. LOL
And I hear you on that whole write faster deal. Lawyer Guy does the same thing! Glad you figured out what to do with HEIRESS. Send Linc to me. I’ll give him cookies until you get his story figured out.

Silver I saw the COWGIRLS review in RT, congrats!!!! That book is getting some great presale buzz. If you need it, I can mail my copy of RT to you.
I hope I can figure out this story. Changing the tone of the book while keeping the story is challenging.
