How did it get to be Friday again? It’s the new year and I thought time might slow down, but nope. Is it just me? So crazy! But on the upside, I’m loving writing right now. It’s just different, freer than it has been in a while. I refuse to think about deadlines, and am just letting the story happen.
Later I’ll get crazed. It’s inevitable because that’s just how I am. I care so much about the readers who have invested in Wing Slayer Hunters and hung in there waiting that I want to give them the story they deserve. But thinking about that now is counterproductive. So I’m just writing, deleting, rewriting and letting the story mature and develop.
And while I have you guys, I wanted to say that I do try to answer the comments, but missed out on Wednesday. When I went to answer, the blog or something was acting up and not posting my answers, then I just didn’t get back to try again. But I always read them comments and always appreciate them!
So this weekend: Tomorrow I’m having lunch with Biker Witch so we can catch up. I’m going to try to make my local RWA meeting on Saturday because Candace Haven is talking about writing a “Fast Draft” something I’m very weak at, and “Revision,” something I’m decent at but can always improve. But it depends how much writing I get done today. And then I’m also going to start reading COWGIRLS DON’T CRY by our own Silver James! I can’t wait!
So what are you doing this weekend?

It’s not just you Jenn, time does seem to fly by. I never feel like I can catch up.
The blurb you gave us on FB was great. It’s nice that you’re able to enjoy this stage in the writing process. Must be so much more fun for you when the stress is not there. We all know that it will be there towards the end and you’ll be crazy frazzled:).
Have fun catching up with Biker Witch. Hope you get to your meeting too. Sounds like it will be very good.
Today I have to pick youngest up from the airport. (That is if my car starts.). He’s finally coming home from his ski trip to CO. The cat can’t wait to see him.
Not sure what else I’m doing.
Have a fantastic time this weekend:).

Have a good weekend everyone what ever you are doing or not doing. I will be doing some self care this weekend even if I have to put ear plugs in to do it. I need to block out the hey moms and Kat where is the… from the family. So it is time to do laundry and hide out with a book not sure what one. I may end up re-reading something.

Nope, time ain’t slowing down any time soon. Whoosh and it’ll be Easter. Gah. I’m so glad you’re loving writing right now. Let it flow, and forget about pleasing your readers. That’s a given. Because when you let it flow, you’re putting it down the way we love it. (if that makes any sense. There’s too much blood in my caffeine system today.)
No sweat on the comment replies. If I come back and you haven’t commented, I figure you got busy. (And sometimes I forget to come back, so it’s not just you.) Have fun with your sister and I hope you get to go to the discussion thing.
This weekend is for working. At least that’s the plan. Now that college ball is over (I’m not counting the last game) and pro-ball is winding down, I have scads of time. I just need to put it to better use than surfing the channels. ;o)

Viki, I hope your car starts and you pick up your son with no problems. Too cute that the cat will be happy to see him
Hope you have a great weekend!

B.E., it’s crazy how fast time’s going.
And yes, it makes sense, but like all things; easy to say and hard to do.
Hope you have a great writing-focused weekend! I know how easy it is to get distracted

D’aw! You make me , Jen. Thank you. I hope you enjoy it. I sat in on Candace’s panel at RWA a couple of years ago. I love the idea of her Fast Draft. It’s like doing a shortened version of NaNo. While her time frame doesn’t work for me, the 30 day version of NaNo works very well. And the more I do it, the better I get. I’ve discovered that my fast draft comes out cleaner and needs less revising the more I do it. Given the writing schedule I outlined for myself this year, I’ll need it!
As for time, I swear the years, months, weeks, days, and hours get shorter with each year that passes. It’s downright frightening! I swear it was last January and I only blinked a couple of times, only to discover the whole year had flown by. Yay for Biker Witch time! And I’m so glad you’re enjoying the writing process with CAGED. We’re a patient lot so enjoy Linc and Ram!
Have a great weekend, everyone!

Silver, I’m sure I’ll enjoy the book! It’s up next and I’m looking forward to it.
I’d like to go to the meeting tomorrow, but I have to get a lot of writing done later today to justify it so we’ll see. While I’m not sure I’m a fast drafting writing, I can always pick up some tips to help be get a little faster or streamlined.
At least I’m not alone with the speed of time!
