Weekend Roundup

I saw this posted on Laura Wright’s personal FB page:

“Writing is easy. All you have to do is sit and stare at a blank piece of paper until drops of blood form on your forehead.”

– Gene Fowler

And that is how my writing weekend went. Lots of metaphoric blood, a few crappy words and a lot of indigestion. But I love my job. Really :-)

Otherwise, I had a great weekend. How about you?

I saw that on her board too. I have so much respect for authors. It’s amazing to me how you guys do it especially since I can barely write two sentences.

Sorry it was a tough weekend for you. Hopefully the week will be better.

Didn’t do much this weekend. Looks like I’ll be cleaning today.

    Have a great day!

I can agree with that. Just as easy as pouring out our souls onto paper.

Sorry it was a tough one. Linc is being a pain, I take it. At least he’s hot to look at.

I’m gearing up for release week. Can you see me sweating over here? Yeah? That’s panic. :P

Have a great one and good luck with getting Linc to cooperate.

Viki, I feel like that about other authors :-)

My weekend pretty good, just frustrating on the writing end. But that’s how it goes, today is better.

I need to to clean too, ugh. Hope you have a great day!

Ashlynn, so excited for you!!! It’s going to be a crazy couple weeks, hang in there!

This is all part of writing…the challenging times make the good days so much sweeter. At least that’s what I’m telling myself.

    Good luck on release week!

Glad your weekend went well other than the writing. I hope Linc starts cooperating with you.

I had a great weekend. My college BFF and I went to Newport, KY to see Karen Marie Moning for her signing of BURNED. She had JR Ward there with her for the Q&A part of the event. We met Darynda Jones, author of the Charlie Davidson series. She was standing right by us in the audience. We also made a couple of new friends. The only bad part was the drive there and back.

Not much going on here – managed to get a WordPress site up but little else. Slowly working my way through some edits that have kept me from moving forward but all’s good. I’m still at it and I ain’t giving up!!!

Sorry I’m late. The morning got busy and then I forgot to finish reading my blogroll. I’m so sorry you had a rough writing weekend. :hugs: I hate those.

The weekend here was a blur. I did get the proof edits entered and now Hubs and I are doing a last read through – me on the Kindle and him on printed pages. I’m not sure I’ll ever read this thing without finding flaws, but this will be the last pass.
