So I went shopping yesterday to find some clothes. Uh…have clothes suddenly shrunk due to global warming? No?? This is Wizard’s fault!! Ever since he retired, he’s been all, Let’s go to dinner! How about breakfast? I’ll buy donuts! Witch, you haven’t baked anything lately, make me some cookie? Or something I’ve heard over and over in the last year, Just eat it, we only live once.
Wizard did this!
And did he get fat??? Of course not.
Let’s talk about something else. This weekend is busy (and calorie laden). First I have my Romance Writer’s of America’s Chapter Birthday Bash. Lauren Dane is speaking. And even better, I get to see old friends–I’m happy about that. Then Sunday we are celebrating Special K’s (Oldest son’s wife) birthday. We’re going to dinner and she has requested lemon pound cake. And I’m hoping to write a blog (for Monday) on the Business Side of Writing. It all depends if I get enough time to get my thoughts down in a coherent format. Plus I want to work on my book.

Fun stuff! Annual Birthday Bash? Do you celebrate the chapter or the birthdays of all the members? And getting to hear Lauren would be a big treat! Better than cake and fewer calories! LOLOL Have fun.
I keep seeing recipes I want to try but they’re all sweet. We’re really trying to limit sweets around here but I fixed homemade waffles for dinner because LG called mid-afternoon and said he had a craving.
As for the weekend? I’ll be writing while sports run in the background. Four post-season baseball games today, twp tomorrow, two Sunday, plus college football Saturday. And maybe sleep. Or reading if I can’t sleep. Because I’ve been up since 5. *sigh*
Have fun, everyone!

I think the clothes shrinkage is from a government conspiracy to make us all think we’re getting fat so they can use food to control us. (Okay, not really, but since I’m editing BloodFlow, I have govt conspiracies on the brain. It probably is the donuts. Damn evil donuts.)
Have fun with your busy weekend. I’ll be in the editing cave for reals this time. I have a week before it’s due back to my editor. And she’ll kick my butt if I’m late. Last night, I think I hit my groove, so I’m pretty sure I can make it – as long as she didn’t throw any fastballs at me later on.

Silver, it’s the chapter’s birthday. They do it at a hotel, and have smaller events around it. Brainstorming sessions, that kind of thing.
Waffles sounds good! I see all those recipes too, it’s hard to resist.
That’s a lot of sports to try to keep up with! I’m right there with you on sleeping right now. Hope you beat insomnia and get some rest.
Have a great weekend!

B.e., Of course it’s a government conspiracy, LOL! Hmm so there’s a government conspiracy in BloodFlow…
Wait…you had donuts????
Hope you have a good weekend in your writer’s gave tacking edits. An not fastballs! (Although I think curveballs work better than fastballs in this case.)

Had donuts. There were 2 left and we fixed that this morning.
Yep, Bloodflow is a political suspense… medical thriller… something.

Jenn – I know exactly what you mean about the guy being home and we get to put on weight. It’s so unfair that they don’t gain weight. I just recently read that we have to work out 8 times as hard to accomplish the same results as the guys. NOT FAIR.
You have a really busy weekend. Have tons of fun. That lemon cake sounds yummy :).
I love the dog :). I was kind of grumpy this morning and when I called up the blog the pup got me out of the funk – thanks.
Have a great weekend :).

B.E., you are clearly an expert at eliminating donuts
LOL on describing your book! That’s a wide range between political suspense and medical thriller, but it’s intriguing!

Viki, I’m sorry you were grumpy but glad the pup helped! I love that face
It’s so true on men and weight. Wizard easily takes off a few pounds while I just…don’t.
Hope your weekend turns out to be great!
