Wednesday Worthy

Ah yes, the joys of home improvement projects. I look around my house .and see nothing happening. Sigh. Over the weekend, Wizard and I cleaned out my bookshelves in the office, the upstairs and downstairs closets. We have boxes stacked in the garage (after a 100 trips carrying stuff down the stairs…okay maybe 20 but it felt like a 100!) and now we wait and wait for this elusive tile to come into the warehouse here in So Cal. To be fair, we knew ahead of time this delay could happen, but still…I hate waiting and Wizard hates it even more. We should get an update today.

In the meantime I’m figuring out some things in my Savaged Vows three book series. I’ll be turning the first book into my editor April first–that book is fully drafted, just needs a quick rewrite and then a clean edit. And I have the second about half way drafted. As usually, I have all kinds of plot threads I’m trying to weave together. But that’s what makes it so fun and challenging. Of course we all know I stress like a mad woman, but that’s just my personal brand of crazy.

In the meantime, hearing about my frustration with the flooring, some of our previous Wednesday Worthy candidates stepped up and offered to do the job. I’m not sure they are actually qualified, but I figured we’d take a look and see. So if you had to pick between these guys, who would you choose?

#1 looks very construction like, but not sure he needs a hard hat to do tile and carpet. And what’s the traffic cone and rock for?

#2 is obviously good at moving heavy stuff. That’s a bonus, although we don’t have any tires inside the house. Nor do I want any tires inside the house!

Handsome muscular man in the old garage.

#3 looks intelligent enough to solve problems, which is great for the floors and even better if he helps me plot and write!

So who is your pick?

Ugh. Sorry about the flooring. Fingers crossed it all happens soon and that they get it done quick.

Number 1 looks like he could do the job. I can’t imagine doing construction shirtless with a nipple piercing, though. Doesn’t seem safe to me. Ow ow ow.

Number 2 looks like he’d do part of the job and then when you ran to the store, he’d steal all your stuff.

Number 3 looks like an accountant.

So, I’m gonna have to go with #1. Not sure what the rock and cone are for, though. Maybe he’s working that landslide on I-75 in Tennessee. Move the rock and place the cone over there.

B.E. well Wizard is an accountant so I might have a little weakness for them :-)

LOL on Guy #2! I like his grin.

I’m trying to just go with things on the floors. Once it’s done it’ll be worth it.

I hate waiting for stuff to arrive. :( Crossing fingers for good news and fast arrival.

I vote for #1. He looks like he can do a lot of things and do them well. You can’t have #2. He’s Hardy in my Nightriders MC series. Just sayin’… And #3? Just say no!

LOL, nothing against accountants. He just looks like a guy who’d pay someone to do his flooring, not install it himself. ;o)

Oh man do I feel your pain waiting on the tiles. Having waited 19 months to finally get my windows I get the frustration. Crossing my fingers.

I seriously hope your tiles arrive pronto and Number 1 is the installer ;). He really looks right for the job to me.

Sounds like great news on the book :). Can’t wait to get a look at an excerpt.

    Have a good evening!

B.E., I knew that’s what you meant! And it’s true, accountants are not the first person we think of to stall floors. I definitely want the guys/gals who know their trade!

Viki, I remember!! It’s only been very recently you windows were finally completed. But they start tomorrow and I’m optimistic all will go well.

And thank you on the books! That worries me much more than the floors.
