Wednesday Worthy

I’m so close but still not done with the draft of the novella, partly because I forgot some appointments, and yesterday I took a couple hours off to go see the movie Me Before You. Both Wizard and I liked it. I’m currently about three quarters of the way through listening to the audio version of the book and love it. Of course the movie had to cut out a lot and tighten some aspects to make it fit a shorter, visual format, but overall, I thought they did a good job.

Let’s move onto Wednesday Worthy. Here’s the candidate:

Muscular and sexy torso of young man with perfect abs

What do you think? Is he worthy?

I see the title ‘Me Before You’ and all I can think is that it’s not going to end well for them. I mean, it implies one of them dies, right? I don’t need sad movies. I mean, I’ll watch Steel Magnolias over and over even though I cry off and on through the whole thing, but it’s ultimately not a sad movie. Same with Big Fish. Major bawl-fest there, even though it’s mostly a funny movie.

Yep, I declare this candidate worthy. He looks rugged. Rugged is good.

I’m with B.E., which should surprise neither of us. Rugged is good, no time for sad movies. My deadline is 7 days away. I have 8500 words to write. :P It’s 11:00, I have to go to the grocery store and I haven’t written a word today. I have cleaned and refilled the humming bird feeder, though I’ve only caught a hummer there once in recent memory. I should move it about a foot so I can see it when I look up instead of having to crank my head around to see it out the window.

How can it be Wednesday? I need rugged so this guy definitely works! Yeah, yeah…back to work.

I saw a review on this movie and the guy said it was a fantastic film but very hard to watch. Did you feel this way about it too? Bet going to the movies was a nice way to get out of the heat. You and Wizard are very smart :).

    I like this guy :).

I hope you’re having a great day. It’s been really cool here with the sun out, so I love it.

B.E., I get that on sad movies. I’m not going to give away the plot. For me though, it was about what love really means. That said, if you don’t like movies with heart-wrenching themes and some sadness, don’t go :-)

I’m happy you like our rugged candidate!

Silve, same as I said to B.E. :-)

I’m right there with you on words, although I did the grocery store yesterday. Today has been writing, the gym, more writing, then getting a pesky thingie removed from my back (nothing worrisome) and once I finish answering comments–more writing. Hope you got a ton of words written!

Viki, I didn’t find it hard (except for the heroine’s weird eyebrows–those suckers danced all over her face), but I knew the story. Wizard was okay watching it too, but he’s very pragmatic and didn’t have trouble understanding the character’s decisions–if that makes sense? I can see where some people might be more anxious watching the movie.

I try to stop and do things with Wizard when he asks, and yeah, getting out was great! Plus I really wanted to see the movie.

    Enjoy your cool weather!
