Happy Friday
I’m binge reading “A neighbor from Hell” series by R.L. Mathewson. It’s so much fun. The characters, especially the guys, are conceited jerks, and sometimes the writing can be slightly confusing (to me anyway) but I don’t care. The characters are a hoot and I’m enjoying it. A great break from working!

Not much. LOL I’m going to a writer’s retreat this weekend but instead of two days and nights in a different locale and different scenery to writewritewrite, I’m facing a weekend of planned activities that would be great for a beginning writer with no deadlines.
I’ll be antisocial and since I need to write angry on the current WIP, that should help. 
Reading, though…that’s been good of late. I zipped through several books in a dragon fantasy series (they were all on sale) and now I’m 1/2 done with APPRENTICE IN DEATH. I do love me some Eve, Roarke, and JD Robb!
Not sure what will be next–a mob book or a couple of historicals.
Have a great weekend, everyone! We have storms forecast tonight but then tomorrow is only going to be in the mid-70s. I am SOOOO ready for fall!

Silver, deadlines change everything and, unfortunately, turn us into hermits. Hopefully you can write, then take a break to visit? Or just write and get all that frustration out into your angry scenes
Love the good streaks of reading! I’m so quick to DNF now, I just don’t have the patience. I enjoy Roarke and Eve every now and again, but I haven’t stayed true to the series.
Enjoy the weather! It’s been less-hot here and i’m happy about that. I’m ready for fall just not holiday stress. Have a great weekend at the retreat!

Not much here either. Hubs mowed over a hornets nest this morning and they nailed him good on the ears and neck (he had a hat on) as well as elbows. He’s a swollen mess. I feel awful for him. He isn’t super allergic so I’m keeping a watch on him and treating him here at home.
Your binge reading sounds like fun :). I’m glad you’re taking some time and enjoying yourself.

Viki your poor husband! That really sounds hideous. I’m sure you know what to do for him, but I’m just cringing for the poor guy
I’ve been reading a lot when I can’t sleep, it really helps keep me from stewing about insomnia or what I’m writing.
Despite the hornets attacking your husband, I hope you guys have a good weekend.

That’s awesome! I love reading books that make me smile.
Sorry I’m late. I spent the morning getting Up Wish Creek ready for publishing. It’s done. It’s live. I’m done, and recorded live in front of a studio audience. (Slightly brain-fried… can ya tell?)
This weekend is for vegging out. Fishing, reading, watching the boob-tube. Monday I’ll get back to work on something else.
