Whew! *fans face* Crank up the AC. Yeah…he’s hot and totally worthy! I can’t believe y’all have all that heat. We watched the World Series and watched lots of people sweat through the game–players and spectators both. I like this guy. We can keep him.
Silver, glad he works for you! I like everything but his expression. I can’t put my finger on it. But we’ll keep him!
I know, this heat is pretty miserable, but more concerning is the fire danger (as you know). On the other hand, people are dealing with a lot worse than a little heat so I shouldn’t complain.
On the news this morning they said that the winds were going to change for you this afternoon and the temperature was going to drop more than 20 degrees. Did it happen? Boy do I hope so. The fire danger is just way too frightening.
Jenn- My brother used to train dogs so I spoke to him last night about Maggie. Here’s what he said –
Being a rescue dog she has been dumped at least once and most likely has abandonment issues. So she’s afraid you’re going to dump her too. Move her crate into your bedroom where she can see your bed. At bedtime call “Maggie.” Make sure she has eye contact with you, point to the crate and say “bed.” She should be fine.
He said to only use one syllable word commands.
He also told me that more than 70% of fosters are “foster fails” you keep the dog :).
Hi Viki, thank you so much! That’s really helpful. I haven’t moved her crate by my bed because I switch rooms at night with my insomnia. But I might need to resolve that for Maggie’s sake. I’m keep this advice, thanks again!

He looks confused, but he’s still worthy.
Ugh. Sorry about your heat wave. It’s finally starting to feel more like Fall around here.

B.E., his expression threw me a little bit too.
Hope you’re enjoying the fall weather! I’m not sure we’re going to see much of fall around here, but that’s just part of living in this area.
Have a great Wednesday!

Viki, this guy is a win today.
The winds have died a little, but it’s still very hot. We are expecting a few degrees lower temps over the next couple days.
Hope you have a great evening!
