I did some writing! My mantra for the last few days is quit trying to reinvent the wheel as I’m rewriting some scenes. Yet I have to tear it apart to strip down Justice and Liza to their emotional honesty. Hopefully, the scene I just finished as I write this blog on Sunday will still look good on Monday
Friday we ended up in Urgent Care where I was diagnosed with a UTI. Wizard was a tad aggravated since I’d told him last weekend I might need to go to Urgent Care on Monday, then on Monday I told him I was fine. I wasn’t, but what can I say, my hatred of waiting around in doctor offices or urgent cares had me in serious denial. Once I mentioned to Wizard Friday that I was still having pain, he dragged my butt to urgent care. Wizard really doesn’t get the whole denial thing.
Annoying things piled up, including having to go to Jury Duty at 7:30 Monday morning. Wizard has to drive me and it’s a major inconvenience. I postponed it once for the surgery. I’ll take in my paperwork and see if I can get a second postponement. If not, I’ll stay there, but I can’t serve on a jury when I’m not supposed to drive (only to a nearby store), still in the neck brace and not medically released.
And I managed to re-inflame the tendonitis in my right arm when I was dusting. Dusting is an approved activity! All I was doing was lifting some lightweight files to dust under them and I felt the pop-burn. I was so mad, but really, it’s not that big a deal. I already have a doctor appointment on 14th, and he can do a cortisone shot. That usually takes care of it. I think the tendonitis stems from an injury when I was 15 and the horse I was riding fell. I leapt off, landed on my arm and tore a tendon or ligament. I don’t remember which, I just recall wearing the stupid sling that velcroed my arm to my waist. And FYI the horse was fine–or as fine as a horse can be that’s at a stable that let’s 15-year-old inexperienced idiots ride them.
But despite all that, I’m writing and trying to get this book on track.
How was your weekend?

Ah, the things we do in our youth that haunt us in our later years. Been there, done that. Sorry to hear about your UTI. Hopefully they gave you some good drugs and it clears up quick. Boo for jury duty when you can’t actually sit through it. Yay for writing! You go, girl.
Another quiet weekend at Sanderson Acres (wholly owned subsidiary of Sanderson, Inc. LLC.) Did some woods work and some walking. Met a new neighbor. Made cake – chocolate with peanut butter frosting. Ordered an exercise bike. Hoping the bike cancels out the cake. ;o)
Fingers crossed they let you out of jury duty today. :hugs:

B.e., I know, right? I forget all about that old injury until it flares up. I’m feeling better than I felt Friday, so its all good. And jury duty gave me another 2 month extension this morning, and now I’m home. By the next time I have to go, I should be out of the brace and able to drive.
Sanderson Acres sounds so rural and peaceful–like a tranquil Bed and Breakfast Now I’m wondering what other gems Sanderson, Inc. LLC owns. A weekend filled with some work, walking and cake is a win for me!
Hope the exercise bike is what you want when it arrives.

Yeah, not going into the old injuries. Ugh on jury duty. Maybe they’ll just take your name out of the hat. Yay on a new scene. I did a 250 word flash fiction prompt that turned into almost 1K words. Sadly, I got interrupted right in the most emotional part and now I’m having trouble getting back in the groove. Typical of me.
Did siren test and met the kids for Mexican on Saturday. JGG is growing like crazy and too cute for his own good. Only and I are making plans for NYC in July. We sat at the far end of the table and talked while the “men” did their thing at the other.
Now I’m hungry for Mexican again. Ah well.
Other than that, life is pretty boring. OH! We had snow. Lots of it. For one night and a day. It was all but melted the day after. Pretty while it lasted. And now, back to boring.

Good job Wizard in not buying the denial ;). I hope antibiotics are getting rid of the UTI. Never had one but they sound painful. Need you up and pain free.
Bet it feels good to be writing again even if it is a bit of a struggle at the moment.
Jury duty…………..Haven’t done that in 28 years. Did they excuse you again? They should. As I recall we were able to postpone 2 times. The county I live in now only has a Grand Jury so most are never called.
That’s awful about the tendinitis. It’s so frustrating how doing simple things can trigger pain :(.
My weekend was really nice. Drinks at my girlfriends turned into a lovely dinner. I brought a banana cake I made. Youngest kept telling me it smelled awful and I really couldn’t take it ;). I told him I’d make him his own and all of a sudden it looked and smelled fantastic – Boys!
Have a wonderful afternoon!

Silver, I got my jury duty postponed until March 11th, and I’m happy with that. I should be out of the brace (please God!) and driving. Yeah, old injuries are the gift that keeps on giving
I so get that groove thing! I’m not hitting it today like I did yesterday. But…butt in chair and fingers on keyboard!
The siren test seems to come faster and faster–time is flying. Of course JGG is too cute! Grandsons are amazing! We are going to see ours on Thursday.
NYC for RWA? Only is going with you??? Fun!!! I will probably skip since we’re hoping to do a just-us-and-no-work vacation.
You’re hungry for Mexican, and I’m hungry for Italian because I keep thinking of the amazing homemade manicotti my daughter in law and her mom made for Christmas. I want more!
You’re never boring and snow for a day or two is pretty! Hope you found your groove.

Viki, the antibiotics are working, and I’m getting better, thanks. I’ve only had a few UTIs, and I’m thankful for that.
It feels great to write, I just have to keep moving forward.
Jury Duty gave me a second postponement for another two months. I’m happy with that for right now.
Your dinner with your girlfriend. LOL on your son claiming the banana cake smelled bad until you promised him his own!!! My boys would do that, especially the youngest! It must have been an amazing cake!
Hope you’re having a good evening!
