Need A Distraction?

Will this guy work?

Or how about this man?

Hunks not your thing today? Then how about this puppy?

Hope everyone out there is staying well!

First guy, yay! Second guy, no. Puppy!!

Week one of The Night Owl (formerly the Kid) being here and no one’s come to blows, LOL. I was pulling poison ivy the other day (I’m immune to it, Hubs isn’t, and we aren’t taking chances with Owl) and managed to jam a rose thorn into my knuckle. Other than that, we’re all well.

I just realized, because I’m kinda slow sometimes, that you don’t get to see Turbo anymore because of this crap. :HUGS: I hope you get to video chat or something.

I’m all in with all three, though I might tackle the 2nd guy and steal his respirator/SCBA pack!

CYOOTE puppers! Is Maggie feeling more upbeat about her walks?

We’ve been socially distanced since the beginning, and the kids have for over 10 days now. We’re being “bad” and going up to kidnap Stormy, take him through the drive-thru at Chik-A-Filet, then come back here for some playtime with Big Daddy, reading time with Jammie, and if I can convince him that I need help walking Jake, a scavenger hunt through the neighborhood. He fights his parents about outside time to play. He wants to stay inside. Not on my watch, little dude! ;)

I’ve pretty much shelved any attempts at writing for the moment. Tomorrow? Who knows?

Stay home. Stay safe. Stay healthy.

In order 3, 2, 1. Yes, the puppy rules 🥰 but I am loving those arms on the men.

Went shopping today. I don’t know how we’re supposed to get 14 days worth of food at a time when the shelves are 70% empty. When I go out I have my own wipes and gloves and stay away from ALL. It’s still scary. Hubs is really having a difficult time with missing Harrison.

Good news. Middle and wife got the keys to their house last night. Iffy news, don’t know if movers will still be essential on moving day or if the crew will even show up. Fingers are crossed.

I hope everyone is staying mentally fit and keeping healthy!

B.E., Puppy wins the popularity contest, LOL!

IT’s an adjustment having a kid back in the house, isn’t it?

OUCH on the thorn. And I had no idea someone could be immune to poison ivy. I learned something new today.

No we don’t get to see Turbo and it’s sad. But it’d be worse if we got him sick so we’re trying to resist. And yeah, we video chat and it helps.

    Happy Wednesday!

Silver, too funny on stealing the breathing apparatus. That’s where we find ourselves in this crazy new reality. My country has issued an advisory to sear masks anytime we leave the house–umm–where do I get these masks? Sigh.

Maggie is very happy to go on her walks. I think two walks a day are great, it’s throwing in that extra one (in what was essentially back to back walks) that made her draw the line.

You’re not “bad”!! Seriously we’re all doing the best we can. I bet it was good for Stormy too see you guys. I’m also willing to bet you got him outside for a bit too :-)

We drove to Wizard’s mom, picked up her shopping list, and did the shopping. We didn’t go in the house and did our best to be careful, but I won’t leave them without everything they need either. So we’re all doing our best.

I’m giving up on any attempt to write today. But like you, maybe tomorrow???

Viki, I like their arms too!

Shopping is a huge challenge, and I could feel the fear in our store yesterday too. I can’t figure out what people are doing with all this stuff they are buying. I mean there’s no flour to be had–really??? Rice, soap, sanitizers, TP, and cleaners are super scarce. I hope you manage okay. Maybe someone else should do the shopping for you? I’m trying to keep Wizard home, although today he went with me to do his mom’s shopping because, well, she’s his mom and he wanted to check on her. Hard to argue with that.

That is AMAZING news for your Middle Son and his wife! Huge congrats to them! Yeah, getting movers might be a real struggle, but one way or another, at least they know they are now homeowners! What a bright spot for your family in this really difficult time. You must be so proud of them!

I’m with you on hoping all of us are healthy and coping with the strain.

Something like 15% of people are immune to it. I found out I was because after we moved here I was touching the leaves of this weird plant I’d never seen before and then a couple weeks later someone pointed out that we had poison ivy, which was what I had been touching. Got lucky there. Whew.

I’m sure glad you didn’t have the typical reaction when you touched it! I hear it’s a special kind of misery. On another subject: Hope your knuckle is healing from the thorn.
