I’m not much on Black Friday through Monday shopping. But on Saturday, I did end up in a Marshals store and found a great deal on a sweater. So…I’ve now bought two pullover sweaters and the temp is 80+ degrees. The whole week is in the 80’s. Getting great deals on sweaters is useless if I can’t wear them. On the other hands, it’s nice to have them if Southern California checks the season and cools down.
Yesterday Biker Witch and I went to a mall we haven’t been too in years just for fun. We went early and left once it got crowded, but it was nice to have lunch and just the two of us hang out.
And we found a chocolate shop! Laderach Swiss Chocolate. They were offering samples, and I declined because it was chocolate popcorn, and I don’t do well with popcorn. But this lady was GOOD at her job and asked me what kind of chocolate I like. I said dark, then she gave me a sample of that. I bought a bar of that chocolate because it was dark, smooth and so delicious. I was impressed by how graciously she profiled me, found my weakness and made a sale. I would have bought more, but my jeans are tight I’m sure that has nothing to do with all the baking I’ve been doing, LOL.
Overall the weekend was nice, calm and I even got in a few extra walks with Maggie. Which, of course, she loves and relaxes me.
Do I have to put up Christmas decorations this week? I haven’t really been in the mood. I’m not feeling grinchy so much as unmotivated about decorating, probably because the weather doesn’t feel like Christmas.
So that was my weekend, how was yours?

Sounds like you had a good week and awesome times with Biker Witch! Bargains are bargains so that’s always a yay! And that shop is lucky to have a motivated employee! Those appear to be very few and far between these days.
I had a week. Thanksgiving was…different. I got new words done. Still need just under 5K to “win” NaNoWriMo but I should get a chunk done today because the scenes I need to write is very emotional. Those always take more words.
Saturday was crazy for college football. Upsets galore! And even though MY OSU was a 4-point fave over OU, it’s Bedlam and anything can happen. OSU managed to hold on and win 37-33 by EXACTLY 4 points. No clue what that did to the betting pool. 🤣 Sadly, the Cowboys didn’t even get to celebrate the headlines because Sunday, OU’s head coach announced he’s going to USC to coach there. So yeah, OU managed to steal OSU’s thunder once more. Ugh. On a better note, there is an outside chance OSU could make it into the play-offs for the National Championship.
That pretty much sums up my weekend–words and football. Outside Christmas lights will go up this week sometime. Tree is up (never came down… ) and LG is still using the dining room as an office so no decorating there.
Have a great week, all! 🥰

I hope it cools down so you can wear your new sweaters. It’s always nice to get something new for when seasons change, now let’s get CA to change over to fall/winter for you ;).
Glad you got to spend time with Biker Witch and had fun shopping too. I rarely ever go out inside store anymore. Point and click is just too easy.
Yup, I’ve been in that state where you just have no desire to decorate for the holidays. Last year it really hit me. I’m hopping this year is better.
I bought a sweater online Friday and on Sunday it was another 10% off so I called and they say they will adjust the price. I’ll wait and see.
We’re returning our tree. It was leaning and could not be fixed. I’m bummed. But our old Charley Brown tree is now up and Spunk is loving it.
I hope you have a great afternoon! Take Care.

Silver, I was surprised at the several motivated employees in that chocolate shop.
Emotional scenes do take more words…and more energy But you’ll nail it! I know you want to hit the 50K mark, but 45K is a win in my book.
Wow a lot of news with your team. But the good thing is they’re in the lead. Sorry the coaching change upstaged your teams win in the headlines I get your frustration.
LOL on the tree–it works for you! We’ve been holding off on updating our decorations so we’ll just to the minimum this year and that will work for us.

Viki, well if it ever does cool down, I’m prepared.
I really wanted to get out and get some ideas, but I almost always end up having to buy online. Sunday was really more about just doing something together.
They totally should adjust the price. And good for you for calling–I’d have procrastinated and not done it, LOL.
Bummer on your tree! You seemed to like it so much at first. If it helps, we have a Charlie Brown tree too, but no cat to enjoy it. Maggie looks when we first put it up and then loses interest.
Hope your week is starting off well.
