It feels like a year has passed in the last couple days, LOL! So…we bought a new computer, but haven’t been able to set it up yet. I’m on my laptop typing this, but it seems to be running fine, so yay for that. We should get the new one set up today. I figure we will have the office torn apart and someone will want to see the house, because life has a strange sense of humor.
Wizard and I had to be gone for the open houses. Saturday was sooo long because there was an appointment after the open house closed and traffic help them up for an hour and a half. A long day! But we did get in a visit to Wizard’s mom and that is worth a lot. We try to see her as much as we can, but time, distance and traffic make it a challenge. Sunday went much faster as we only had to be gone for four hours.
The market is shifting here in CA, but seems still decent. I don’t know what will happen, and Wizard and I are just following the plan, trusting our relator to do her best, and not letting ourselves detour down Stress Alley.
Maggie has a new boyfriend, this one is human. I don’t judge Although I do think she broke his heart a little. So we were picking her up, and this guy came in and we assumed he was another client. Then he asked if we were picking up a dog. Wizard and I were confused, since the owner was getting Maggie for us and we had no idea who he was. But we said, “Emily is getting Maggie for us.”
This guy lit up. “Maggie! She’s so sweet. I gave her a bath and she kept snuggling up to me.” Then he introduced himself. And he kept raving about Maggie.
Wizard and I finally caught on that he worked there, chatted with him, and then he went in the back. Wizard was paying and I took Maggie outside.
The guy comes running out to say goodbye to Maggie, and she’s like. “Later dude, I see my car.”
That’s right, my dog was all sweet and loving to this guy when he was taking care of her. But once she was with me, and saw the car parked in the lot, she barely said goodbye. But then he crouched down, and she let him have about 15 more seconds of her time, LOL.
As for me, I’m just happy she has people taking care of her that genuinely like dogs. So while Maggie’s love can be fickle, my appreciation is real and lasting!
And lastly, Wizard and I had two really good lunches and a dole whip float over the weekend. We’ve been eating too much since the previous weekend. This house buying and selling stuff is costing us both $$ and calories!
So that was my weekend, how was yours?

Maggie is such a flirt! LOL Yay for the open houses being over and yes, Murphy’s Law of House Selling dictates that someone will want to see the place when you are in the middle of a mess. Yay for mom visits and good food. 🤞🏼 (crossing fingers) you get an offer soon!
My weekend was softball and baseball. OSU and OU are in the semi-finals. They both play today to see who moves on to the finals, that start Wednesday. OU plays UCLA and OSU plays Texas. Opposing teams have to beat OU and OSU twice to move on.
No siren test for unknown reasons but we had lunch with the Kids at Alvarado’s anyway. Yum!
And that was pretty much my week. Lots of Stormy time time week. And hopefully some writing. Y’all have a good one! 🥰

Sorry that your new computer wasn’t set up yet. I’m sure when you have the time to do it all will go well and you will love it. Glad the laptop is working ok.
That is a long time away from home for the open house. It’s nice that you were able to spend time with Wizard’s mom.
Maggie is so cute. I like that she has her “boy friend” on her terms.
My weekend was busy even though I said I was going to take it easy. Everything I planned to do just took twice as long and messed things up a bit. Youngest helped with with my great great grandmother’s desk. It looks so nice. I am going to have to get used to it though .
In a couple minutes I’m going to leave and take myself to see Top Gun. Spunk will not be happy because no one is here to feed him dinner at dinner time. It will be late and i feel bad for the little furry dude.
I hope you are having a wonderful afternoon!

Silver, she’s turning into a flirt, LOL. As far as the house, this is what it takes, so we’re doing it with some whining along the way
Okay I had to read your first couple sentences twice because my brain is fried and I read that your two teams were playing each other. But once I reread slower, I saw what you actually wrote. Probably that Venti Latte made me a little wired, LOL. Anyhow, hope both your teams win and go onto the semi finals!
Yay for yummy lunch with the kids! And for all the Stormy time!
Hope your week is off to a great start!

Viki, after I posted the blog last night, we got the computer up and running. There’s a few more details to add, but the bulk of it is done. It went surprisingly well and the computer is fast!
Isn’t that usually the way when you plan an easy weekend? Murphy’s law snaps into action. But I’m excited for you getting your great grandmother’s desk set up. That’s awesome. Yet every change does require an adjustment, especially for those of us who like routine and organization.
Poor Spunk! But you deserve a day out. Hope you love Top Gun, I’ve heard really positive reviews from people who’ve seen it.
Enjoy your day!
