I have no excuse for being late. Bad Jen!
My weekend was pretty good. Had a blast going to see CPA Boy’s two dogs, Corky and Cookie. Those dogs are complete opposites. Cookie is a bundle of wiry energy and loves to play, while Corky just wants to lay in the sun and have his belly rubbed. Both are adorable.
After a sleepless night, I’m heading into my writing cave to work nonstop.
Oh wait, I have to stop, I have an MRI for my ankle scheduled today. It’s not a big deal, just an annoyance and a time suck.
How was your weekend? For those of you in the brutally cold areas, I hope you’re staying warm! I was thinking of you all over the weekend while it was 80 degrees here in So Cal. Very weird weather patterns this year.

I’m ALIVE !!! Actually, we moved on the 19th and again on the 20th (had to make two back to back trips as the truck was too small …) I had maybe 3 hours sleep in almost 48 hours so, knowing I need a full 9, you can imagine what a wreck I was. To top that off, there was an issue with the cable company and we were without ’till the 2nd. I hate surfing the internet etc. on my phone – the screen is just too tiny for my tastes. I prefer my 23 inch home computer
Anyhoo – I hope everyone is well. It’s warmed up to 47 here, which is a whole lot better than -4. Remind me to send you a snowball for the 80* comment!!!

Let see if this post will work now. to much holidays, to much weather and not enough time for it all. Happy 2014 everyone. This year I plan to take things one day at a time and not worry so much about tomorrow or next week. 2014 my year to be a living cliché.

80???? Oh, yeah, I’m with Ban…*throws ice ball*>>>> hahah! It is currently 6 degrees here. Friggin cold!!
Glad you had so much fun with the puppies. Maybe that will give you a puppy fix for a while. And yeah, bleh, about the MRI. I’ve had so many I should be glowing. They overall just suck.
Had a great weekend but today is the first day back to school for my kids so I’m teaching Wildman math again. I also plan on writing today.

Hey Jenn I bet you had tons of fun with the pups. Betting it’s a good thing that Corky is laid back. Too much excitement would make for a crazy house ;).
Sending good thoughts on your ankle. You didn’t mention it flaring up over the holidays so I hope all is going well with it.
It’s cold here but not as bad as other people. It’s currently 4 and dropping. Tonight is supposed to be -15. We’ll see. They already blew the snow forecast – it never really showed up.
Youngest son is out in Winter Park again only he flew this time. Must be nice to have a boss that owns a place out there ;). He called home last night and was talking to hubs. When he was about to hang up I yelled that I loved him and his response was, “How’s my cat?” Yes, I will pop him one when he comes home next week ;).
Ban – Glad you’re settling in.
Kat – Taking it one day at a time is smart.
Have a great day!

Hey Ban! So glad to “see” you here! Moving is always a drag, but making two trips is just doubling the pain.
Hope you have cable now!
Hmm, maybe I shouldn’t have mentioned the weirdly warm temps here since a huge chunk of the country (US) is suffering unusually severe cold right now.

Ashlynn, I deserve to be pelted with snowballs Man I can’t even imagine how cold 6 degrees is.
Good luck on the teaching math front!

Viki, it sounds really cold there! I think 40 degrees is too cold for me. I hope you all have backup generators. I worry about you guys in that frigid blast.
LOL on your son! Sounds like a boy! His job must really be working out–that’s great news. But he owes you a sincere hug and “I love you” when he gets home.
My ankle just depends on what I’m doing, We adjusted some steroids and it helped for a bit too. I did the MRI today but I’ll be surprised if they find anything significant.
Stay warm!

There you are! Tada! I looked for you yesterday morning, but once the day starts, whether I make it back to the blogosphere is hit or miss. I’m so glad you had a good weekend and fun with the grand-pups. Good luck with the writing and the MRI. =o)
The weekend here was pretty quiet. Lots of football and reading, and I got back to writing so it was all good. I also made raisin cake (which I’d never made before but I was in a ‘using up leftover ingredients’ mood). It turned out pretty good. Yeah, it was brutally cold but we made sure Max stayed warm in the garage, and that the critters had lots of food. And we stayed inside. Short of taking a vacation further south, that’s really all we can do. (Not that Hubs didn’t think about picking up and leaving. LOL)

B.E. I’m sorry for being late
The cold you guys are enduring would make me move! You’re all much braver than I am. Glad you stayed warm and hope the raisin cake was good…and now I’m thinking of raisin bread which I haven’t had in years.
Yay for writing! I’m jealous as I’m just spinning in desperation over here.

I think our low was -25 (without wind chill), but when it gets that low the temp doesn’t matter, ’cause it is COLD!!!!
