Friday Five

It’s Friday again, so let’s talk about five random things that happened this week:

  1. SAVAGED DREAMS, book 1 in the Savaged Illusions Trilogy, is out in the world!
  2. I’ve once again proven I can’t be trusted with an opened bag of chocolate chips in the house.
  3. Wednesday it was 109 degrees here. Unacceptable!!
  4. I saw my RA doc, and he thinks all my neck, shoulder and arm pain is from my neck (the x-rays showed problems there too), and he’s ordering an MRI. While all this is frustrating, I feel better having seen this doc.
  5. French bulldogs make me happy!

And a bonus random thing: Anna, my assistant, read SAVAGED VOWS, book 2 in the Savaged Illusions Trilogy and posted her very honest review on Goodreads if here. This was a surprise to me, she doesn’t always read my work because she has a stack of books to review for her blog. If you’re curious, take a look. Savaged Vows is in many ways my favorite book I’ve written so far.

Okay time for you to share your Friday Five! Have a great weekend!

SQUEE for Savaged Dreams! I snagged a copy, and I’ll probably read it this weekend. Well, here’s hoping your RA doc can get this stuff figured out.

    1) It’s foggy here this morning.
    2) I’ve finally located my writing gumption and things are moving forward again.
    3) Now that I’ve found my writing gumption, I’m realizing there were a lot of balls I’ve dropped over the past couple months. They’re on my to-do list.
    4) Single serving flavored coffee packets are the bomb. I sprinkle a little of one into my regular coffee for an extra boost. Hazelnut. Yum.
    5) The big brown bats are back underneath my bathroom window. It’s their daytime hangout in the summer. But it’s not big enough for them to make it a hibernation spot in the winter, so it’s all good.

Forward movement on your health issues. That’s good. Yay on Anna’s review! Do I want to know what you did with the chocolate chips?

    My five:

    1. We have a cold front coming through today. Our high will be 89 instead of 99.

    2. Today is #TakeYourDogToWorkDay. I laughed. I “take” my dogs to work every day. *uses feet to pet large black dog snoring under desk*

    3. I made shredded chicken chipotle empanadas last night. They weren’t bad. Fairly easy to fix.

    4. I’m craving ice cream.

    5. I looked outside before letting the dogs out. There was a ring-necked dove and a blue jay sharing one feeder while a male cardinal pecked at a second. A squirrel was drinking out of the boys’ wading pool. Did I have a camera? Of course not!

    Have a great weekend! :-o

    1) Foggy weather is perfect for writing!
    2) Awesome on you gumption
    3) You’ll get all your balls rounded up. Hmm…that doesn’t sound right :-)
    4) I’ll have to look for those single serving coffee packets.
    5) Bats AND fog??? That’s a lot of spooky atmosphere for a writer, LOL!

    Have a great weekend!

    2. Ha ha on the ch. chips
    3. Heat stinks and 109 is just WRONG!
    4. When is the MRI? Keep me updated
    5. I love them too ;)

    1. Eldest and DIL sold there house Monday (the day they listed it). So now all is good for moving into the new house on July 1st.
    2. We get to take care of Pee Wee tomorrow because the above are going to her 1/2 brother’s wedding and forgot all about the little guy.
    3. Rained buckets here today with rolling thunder in the distance. But really cool off.
    4. The ducks from across the road are so darn cute. They charge over here when they see the hubs outside :).
    5. Cleaned windows the other day and somehow as bird nailed the center of one. Did the rain today clean it off? Heck no :(.

I hope you have a great weekend :)!

Viki, thanks on SD! As for the MRI, it has to be approve through my HMO before we can schedule it, so I’d say a couple weeks.

    1) Yay for Oldest and DIL! That’s incredible their house sold so soon. Things are going so well for them right now :-)
    2) Pee Wee!!! Hope your kitty doesn’t mind too much, or are you going over Pee Wee’s house? He’s going to be such a happy little dog!
    3) Hope you enjoyed the rain. I’m a little jealous.
    4) That’s so cute with the ducks!
    5) OH wait, it rained right after you cleaned windows? And of course it didn’t clean the bird leavings off.

Have a great weekend and fun with Pee Wee!
