Happy Friday
Hi guys, I had another round of shots in my neck yesterday, so I’m bailing on Friday Five. Predictably after six shots into my cervical spine (into the facet joints specifically), I’m sore and tired. One note: I did have some mild anesthesia this time which made the series of injections easier. I was never asleep, just much more comfortable than the first time I had this done. I also ended up telling my recovery nurse allll about Baby Slayer, LOLOL!!
Anyway, I wanted to wish you all a Happy Friday, and a fabulous weekend!

Happy Friday, Jenn! I’m so glad the shots went better this time. I hope the recovery is fast and that they go a long way toward fixing the problem altogether. :hugs:

I’m doing T-Ball Jammie on Saturday. Two games. I’ll be all about the cuteness later.

B.E., thanks! It all went easy enough, everyone was incredibly nice to me, and I am hopeful. Just sick of all things medical-related, LOL!

Silver, thank you! It was pretty hilarious when I realized I was babbling about him, and laughed at myself with the nurse. But she was sweet and said it’s because I have a lot of love and positivity. With all that they hear in there day in and out, I can see her point. I heard so much complaining, I wanted to bake the entire staff cookies or cupcakes or something.

I’m glad you had some anesthesia this time for the shots. I’m sure just being a little more relaxed helped a great deal. Still, I’m sorry that you’re sore and tired. Hopefully you’ll feel better tomorrow.
Funny how Baby Slayer came up yesterday ;). Proud grandma’s cannot be denied :).
The newlyweds have invited us old married people over tomorrow night for dinner and then a walk along Lake Erie. I’m SO looking forward to seeing them.

Viki, I’m improving a bit as the day goes on, but this is all normal. So I can say this now, the first place I went too, I wasn’t confident enough to let them give me anestesia. This place, I trust my doctor, the anesthesiologist and the nurses. I’m a bit of a control freak, but here I can lay on my stomach, unable to see what what’s going on and let them do their jobs.
So true on Grandmas, LOL!!
You know, dinner with the kids and a walk around a lake sounds like my perfect evening. I hope you enjoy catching up with the newlyweds, seeing pictures of their honeymoon (in CO, I think?) and basking in the knowledge that your son has a lovely wife and partner!
