Just An Update

Hey guys,  Maggie wanted to post, but I’m too tired to set it up for her :-) So I’ll just update you all.

So my brother had surgery Monday, and it went very well. They believe they got all the cancer, and he’ll recover fine. I’ve talked to my sister-in-law a few times, and he seems to be doing doing great. I’ll call him today just to harass him. But the last thing I told him before surgery was to listen to his doctors and his wife or I’d arrive on his doorstep to make his life miserable.

Nobody wants that, LOL!

Then Biker Witch had surgery yesterday, and that surgery turned into a marathon. I think close 7 hours! Although some of that time is prep, closing and cleanup too.  Anyhow, as I’m typing this, she’s out of surgery, awake and able to talk, so everything is good so far. Her Biker Hubby has been with her, and I’ll go back to see her today. (I was there during her surgery, but I didn’t go see her in recovery as she needs rest and her husband).  She’ll be in the hospital a few days, and we’ll take it all a day at a time.

So it’s been a long two days, and poor Maggie will just have to wait to share her next story. But she wanted you all to know she’s looking forward to her chance at blogger-talkin’ with you all :-)

How’s everyone else’s week going?

You post however you need to post. Maggie is loads of fun, but so are you. ;o)

So glad your brother is doing well. Hugs and positive thoughts for Biker Witch.

Things are good here. My gumption finally returned from wherever it was vacationing and I’ve been busy playing catch-up. Edits are happening, a little writing was accomplished, walks are being taken, and the spreadsheet work is rolling along. Here’s hoping all this effort pays off.

Good news on Bro and Biker Witch! Still sending good thoughts to your whole family. 💕

Tell Maggie she’s a good girl and we’ll see what she has to say next week.

The countdown for departure has begun. I’m at just over 39K words on the book, shooting for 47-48K. I’ve got to revamp the timeline a little because I don’t have enough words left. Loki goes in for a follow-up with the vet this afternoon. Not sure he’s put on much weight but he’s eating and plays like crazy before flopping down for naps. I also have to hit the grocery store. Stormy’s last T-ball game was last night. He would have had two homeruns, but the rules say a runner can only advance to second. 😜 He also had 5 great plays at shortstop–keeping the ball in front of him, grabbing it and making decent throws to first. Sadly, the game began at 8:15 (due to heat alert) rather than 7:30. It was after my bedtime before we got home. 😂

I need more coffee. And then words/revamping. Later, taters!

I’m happy to hear all went so well with your brother and the surgery.
Sure hope your sister is doing well after the long haul with the back surgery.

It’s been a long couple of days for you all. I will continue to them both and your family in my prayers.

I’m sure Maggie is understanding that it was just too much to set her up for the blog. She knows you’ve been kind of occupied with human stuff. Maybe next week she’ll have another go at the blog ;).

Things are plugging along here. Nothing exciting. Just replacing broken stuff :(.

I hope the rest of your week goes well.

B.E., thanks so much. So far, everybody is on track for healing.

Wow your gumption must have come back rested and ready to work! You’re getting stuff done!

Silver, thanks! Maggie is plotting her blogger-talkin’ and I’m pretty sure I don’t want to know :-)

You must be excited and stressed! There’s always so much to do before conference, then you have the pressure of getting the book written as far as you can. But once you get on the road, it’ll be a well deserved break and good times with Only!

Viki, I’m pretty wiped today, but I’m not the one that went through major surgeries like my brother and sister, so I can’t complain :-) Thanks for your prayers, they help. And Maggie is very understanding.

Replacing broken stuff is an expensive chore. Hope it all goes well!
