It was a quiet weekend of doing normal things. Saturday, Wizard and I took Maggie with us and went for a drive. When Maggie realizes she’s gets to go in the car, she can barely sit still to get the leash on her, and she does a crazy excited whine/purr thing that sounds ridiculous. The dog has a few quirks. Anyhow, we stopped at a place called Tom’s Farm. It has a food store, candy store, some restaurants and there’s an area where vendors can sell their products like handmade jewelry etc. We walked around in there, when Maggie spotted a small dog, I think maybe a Yorkshire terrier, sitting at the back of one of the vendor stations. Maggie was very interested. She pranced and wagged her tail, definitely flirting and trying to get the other dog’s attention.
The dog ignored her. Like he shut her down as if she didn’t exist. It was sad I think my girl got her little heart broken, or at least her pride dented.
However, a few people commented what a good dog she was and that perked her up a little
Sunday, I worked a bit, and then I oiled my kitchen cupboards, which was as exciting as it sounds, LOL! Middle Son called while I was doing that, so at least I got to talk to him while doing it.
This week will be busy with assorted appointments and stuff. And then we’re on the downhill path to the holidays, so I really valued an easy, quiet weekend. How was your weekend?

Yay for a quiet weekend! Sounds like your outing was fun. It’s okay, Maggie. You don’t need his kind of negativity in your life anyway. There are plenty of other dogs who will be happy to be your playmate. Good luck with your busy week, Jenn!
I went a little baking crazy this weekend – granola bars, cookies, and cake. Plus, I made chili and a pot roast. We also got some woods time in and I did some writing. Life is good. I’ve ordered myself not to do any baking today, but working in the woods is a definite possibility. Other than that, chilling and writing. I passed 20K for the month. Big win for me! =o)

Quiet weekends are important! Poor Maggie. That ankle-biter was obvioulsy ill-mannered and a jerk. She’s better off without him!
We had a quiet weekend too. Stormy played his last soccer game of the season, scoring and assisting. He told Only he was going to miss it.
Jake went to Walmart with me for the first time. Unsure about the parking lot and the cart at first but then he did really good until we dropped the cart off and a big line of noisy carts rattled in right by us. He didn’t like that at all but he didn’t bolt. Of course, we were there to buy two cartons of soy milk, not my usual 1 hour sojourn for weekly groceries. Baby steps.
I’m making real progress on my NaNoWriMo project (which releases as part of a six-book anthology series in February so I better be!). There was a drama yesterday over character roles. The other author and I worked it out. My secondary character is now a Texas Ranger rather than the county sheriff. It all works out.
Both my college football teams won so yay.
That’s pretty much the sum total of my weekend.
Have a great week, everyone!

Oh no, the poor little flirt :(. I feel bad for Maggie. She’s so sweet and cute how could that doggie be so mean to her? Thank heaven those nice people came along and made Maggie feel special. Good people!
Please don’t tell me you got out the Murphy’s Oil Soap. I do that every once in a while but not often enough. Most people I talk to have no idea what oil soap is :). It really does a nice job cleaning and moisturizing the wood.
Our weekend was spent running errands and normal stuff. Then I felt ill all Saturday night and Sunday morning. Much better today.
Got my hair done :). That’s always good.
My girlfriend was in San Diego for the 3-Day. She should be heading back to FL tonight and then she’ll be up here Friday. We’re having coffee Saturday :)!
Have a great evening!

B.E., that’s what I told Maggie too
Wow you really did a lot of baking and cooking!
Even more impressive is passing the 20K mark in your worked count. Congrats!!
Hope your week is off to a great start

Silver, yep, Maggie can find better dogs to play with!
Stormy is doing so good at soccer, I’m sad for him now that the season is over.
Jake’s getting all kinds of new experiences. Very smart of you to just pick up milk and not do a full shopping for his first time in Walmart. That place can be overwhelming for any creature I’ve only taken Maggie in the garden department there so far.
Sorry for the character-related drama on the anthology but glad it’s all worked out. Hopefully changing from sheriff to a Texas Ranger won’t cause problems.
And Yay for NaNo motivating you to write the words!
Always good when our team wins
Happy Monday!

Viki, the people really were nice to Maggie
Oh no, sorry you weren’t feeling well.
Yep, I used Murphy’s Oil Soap. It made me laugh that you do that too. I haven’t done it since my surgery though, and my cupboards are showing their age. The oil soap does help.
I got my hair done on Friday too!
Hope your girlfriend enjoyed San Diego and the stupid hot weather we’re having. You must really be looking forward to seeing her on Saturday!
Really hope you’re feeling much better and your week is off to a good start.
