Weekend Roundup

First, Wizard, myself, and the family all are well (at least as of last night when I wrote this). I hope the same is true for all of you.

Wizard had a decent Pandemic Lockdown Birthday. And there’s a phrase I never thought I’d use, LOL! We had ribs, apple pie and half a bottle of Merlot wine. With the help of youngest son, we managed to get him some gifts, and the thanks goes directly to all the people out there packaging and delivering under truly frightening circumstances. Youngest son made me promise I would not go to Home Depot to pick up the gift myself :-)

Just when I think things can’t get any stranger, our county declared that we cannot leave the house without masks. And it will be enforced with up to a $1,000 fine and/or possible jail time. Two law enforcement officers died from COVID 19 this last week, and they are not messing around. From what I’ve been able to ascertain in the confusion–they are expecting an explosion of COVID 19 here in Riverside County of California. It’s surreal. Wizard and I will comply because this is one of those safe is better than sorry situations. I don’t want to get sick and I really don’t want to get anyone else sick.

But then…plot twist! Now we are under an Potential Flood Watch for today. So we’re on lock down, can’t go outside without masks and we might have to evacuate…to where exactly????? Bwhahahaha!!! I can’t make this crap up :-)

Now just for a little fun, let’s play “I have Quarantine ____ “(fill in the blank as many times as you want). Here’s mine:

I have Quarantine….

Bangs.  (Wizard has offered to cut my bangs, LOLOLOL!! Umm, no, thanks)

Gray roots.

Snacking disorder.

ADHD.

Okay, so what about you guys? How was your weekend, and do you want to play “I have Quarantine _______.”?

Stay well!

I have quarantine… cupboards. Some stuff I have way more than usual of and other stuff way not enough of. It’s a weird combination of Old Mother Hubbard and Jack Sprat’s wife.

Good to know all of you and yours are fine. Same here. Fingers crossed you don’t get flooded, so you don’t have to worry about where you’ll end up. So, now you have to wear a mask to walk Maggie? Can you even still walk your dog out there? Everything’s getting so bizarre.

Yikes on the flood alert, yay on presents and b-day (food sounds yummy!), and having good kids! LG had siren test, but I didn’t go. I cut my own hair, it’s naturally gray, and we have TP and food. I will have to hit the store in a day or two for dog food and soy milk. We’re all good here but we’ve been at this self-isolating thing longer.

Stay home. Stay safe. Stay healthy.

    “I have Quarantine _______.”

    Starbucks Withdrawal Syndrome.

Craft/renovation/redecoration aspirations. (Yeah…nope. Not gonna happen but I keep seeing stuff I want to make/re-do…)

Nap-itis. (Any excuse for a nap, right?!?)

Stay home. Stay safe. Stay healthy.

Good job youngest son aka BLB, for helping obtain Wizard’s birthday presents. He was right to make sure you stayed home. Oh, did I see that the wrapping paper was from Christmas? My middle one does that, only buy Christmas paper ;).

It’s not fined here if we don’t wear a mask but I just feel I should just the make sure others are safe. I made one and it’s really hard for people to hear me through it.

I love your list. Here I go. “I have Quarantine roots BAD!, grumpies, and tiredness.

You guys stay safe no matter what.
    Have a great afternoon.

    PS How is Maggie doing?

B.E., Quarantine cupboards is a good one!

I fashioned old T-shirts, cut and doubled up, as a version of neck wraps that can be pulled up over my face and nose. That’s what I’m using to walk Maggie, and I think that’ll be okay since I walk alone and can mostly avoid people. But if I see any life, I’ll pull up the makeshift mask. I’m using better ones for going to the store when absolutely necessary.

I hope all is well with you guys. This is hard on everyone. Stay safe and healthy!

Silver, I’m jealous that you can cut your own hair! But I’ll side sweep the bangs, and twist it up in a clip or ponytail and not worry about it. Like you, I have have TP and food, although I’ll go to the store tomorrow or Wednesday to fill in. I try to keep enough to stretch two weeks in case we get sick or things get even worse. But I’m careful.

    Starbucks is a good one.

Crafts aspirations made me laugh. I aspire to a lot of things.

Naps are probably good for you!

    Stay positive and well!

Viki, Maggie’s good, thanks for asking. Well, other than holding her bladder because she doesn’t want to go in the rain, LOL!

The wrapping paper was left over from Christmas :-) We use that a lot, but I also wasn’t going to risk going out just to get birthday paper. Wizard doesn’t care at all.

It’s great that you’re wearing a mask despite the frustration of people not being able to hear you.

Quarantine roots are the new fad :-)

    I’m grumpy with you today.

Sorry for the tiredness, this is just hard.

I hope you and your family stay safe and well.
