Hey guys! Miss me? So I had emotional rant post about the school shooting in Texas scheduled and it didn’t post. I deleted it for the simple reason that my post was venting anger and grief, but not really adding anything substantive to the conversation about school shootings. Then I had a doctor appointment (routine) that I needed to get to so I waited until I got home to post. (Remember in CA, we’re 3 hours behind a lot of the country!)
Suffice it to say that all of us are likely upset, sad and mad. We all feel for the victims and their loved ones. I’m right there with you all feeling the pain, sympathy and all the other emotions swirling through us.
I hope all of you are doing as well as we can right now. And we’ll catch up more on Friday.

It is still raining so I’ve decided Mother Nature is shedding some tears. I’m avoiding the news. On a productive note, I’ve managed to revise 5 chapters in the last two days.

I hope all went well at the doctor.
Harrison and family are supposed to be coming up this weekend but his mom is not doing well with nasty allergic reactions to something in the TN air.

Silver, I’ll go with your Mother Nature is shedding tears theory.
I want to add in here: I’m grateful beyond words to all the first responders. I don’t have all the info of course, my understanding is they did all they could. I hope this is okay to say, but I think of you in these situations where you did your job, but live with it every single day afterward. They are now in the same type of situation and only people like you who’ve been through it really understand.
How let’s shift the mood. You wrote today!! You rock! Seriously! I also moderated my news intake, and we had another busy day that helped us not over-dwell on things we can’t do much about.

Viki, it was a fluke that my rant didn’t post, but I think it was for the best. But social media gives people a place to say what they need too.
The doctors was fine. It was a “women’s well check.” I was overdo for that particular joy, but now it’s done and I’m relieved to have taken care of it.
I hope Harrison and his family can come! You must already miss them all! But your poor daughter in law. An unidentified allergic reaction like that can really cause problems. I’m so sorry she’s going through it and hope they can find the cause and resolve it.
It’s evening here now and the day has gone well. Hope it’s the same on your end!

I’ve managed to keep my emotional rants for Hubs’ ears only. I’m trying to keep that awesome little girl I hung out with at the mechanic’s in the back of my head. When things get at me, I think of her holding out her cow toy, making it run, and going BAAA, and I smile.
I’m glad everything with the doctor was routine. With everything else, hang in there. :hugs:
