HAPPY HALLOWEEN! We have some candy to give out, but no clue if we will have any kids come to the door or not. We’ll see!
The weekend came and went as scheduled 
Saturday we didn’t go see Turbo because his dad had a mild cold that has worked its way through their family. I normally wouldn’t care, but I’ve recently adjust some meds to better protect my stomach, and don’t want to add any burdens to my immune system for a little while. So far, the adjustment has been easier than I expected.
Sunday we went to Biker Witch’s for awhile. Wizard and Youngest installed two fans with no trouble. Youngest daughter-in-law came too and she’s always fun. Maggie had a great time. So the text conversation the week prior with my sister went like this:
Biker Witch to me: “Hey are you coming with Wizard?
Me thinking my sister misses me. “Sure, I’ll come.
Biker Witch. “Are you brining Maggie?
Me growing suspicious. “I hadn’t thought about it, but I can if you want me to.”
“Bring her, we really want to see her.”
Me. “Um okay.” Thinking I’m sure you really want to see me too. You know, I’m your beloved baby sister! I’m sure my sister was thinking that but probably was too lazy to type it out on a text, right?
Then the night before Biker Witch texted. “Don’t forget to bring Maggie’s treats.”
Sigh, never mind. My sister only loves me for my dog. Who, by the way, thinks Biker Witch and Biker Hubby are awesome and she loves going there. So Maggie had a great weekend! But I’m fine, I mean my sister probably still loves me
This week we’re working on gathering and researching contractors to begin the process of getting quotes for the back and side yard. I’m preparing myself for a wicked case of Sticker Shock, which we all know is usually followed by the dream-killer known as Reality Check. It’s all good though. If we can’t afford one thing, we’ll do something else. There’s no rush.

Bummer about not getting to see Turbo, but I totally get it. LOL about Biker Witch and Maggie. Of course your sister loves you, but we’re talking about Maggie. She’s the bomb. Here’s hoping the sticker shock isn’t too bad. :hugs:
Early in the week, we got a lot of rain and the roof over the smoking porch leaked. Later in the week, we got a lot rain and it didn’t leak. I’m thinking the wind and the rain direction played a factor there. Derp. Anyway, I went and picked up roof repair glop on Saturday, and Hubs will apply it this week. Other than that, not much of note going on here. I made zucchini bread for Hubs. And I read a lot. Woohoo.

Sorry for no Turbo Time but yay for Youngest, YDiL, Maggie, and Biker Witch Time. And new fans! Pretty sure BW loves you for more than your dog and your handy husband and son.
Yeah, I’m waiting on the sticker shock on the garage door. We’re still waiting on the guy to get us worked in.
My weekend? Let’s not talk about sports, um-kay? Except Stormy had an excellent match and they would have won on his two goals if the ref knew the rules and the other coach wasn’t greedy so he didn’t say anything about the illegal formation of his team on Stormy’s penalty goal kick. GRRRR. All other sports pretty much sucked too.
Yesterday was Only’s birthday. We all gathered at Hideaway Pizza for dinner. It’s handy for Uncle Fix-It and Aunt Hooey, they have table spaces for large parties that make room for wheelchairs (Aunt Hoeey) and large service dogs (Jake). Good food and sentimental favorite.
Posted pics of Stormy’s costumes and pumpkin on my personal FB page in case you want to see. Wallyworld this morning then a visit to the vampires to donate blood around noon. World Serious and BBQ sammiches tonight. We’re once again being Halloween Scrooges. Ever since the year the teens NOT in costume and carrying real handguns showed up demanding all the candy was it for us. We close the curtains and turn off the lights. Makes us sad but at the same time, the neighborhood is aging so any kids would be from out-of-neighborhood.

You are so funny. Yes, Biker Witch only wants to see you because of Maggie 😄. I hope that you all had a good time and that the guys got the fans hung.
Sorry you didn’t get to see Turbo. You probably made the best decision, you don’t want to aggravate anything.
Are you feeling any better while on the restricted diet?
What is Turbo being for Halloween? Harrison and his mom made him a haunted garbage truck. It’s huge. He stands inside it and walks around. He won best costume prize and the Tick or Trunk this weekend.
Hubs is getting ready to head down to TN again this Saturday. It takes a crew to plan his trips 🙄.
My best friend is up from NC and we’re having lunch tomorrow. Can’t wait to see her. Unfortunately, Jackson, the dog can’t come because the restaurant people are meanie heads.
I hope the sticker shock wasn’t too bad on the quotes. Things just keep going up in price too. It’s awful.

B.E., as it happens, Maggie agrees with you that she’s the bomb, LOL! She made a new friend at the vet’s today. All this time I thought she was so submissive, but after five years, I’m starting to think I’ve been played by a 20 pound dog
No worried on Turbo, we’ll see him next weekend.
Talk about mixed results with the rain and leaking! But it sounds like the roof repair stuff should cover it, it has to be a small place where water seeps. Once you patch that, it will hopefully stop it before it becomes a bigger problem.
Reading and homemade zucchini bread are the right ingredients for a good weekend!

Silver, ah yeah, the garage door will probably come with it’s own version of sticker shock. I hope you get it soon! That’s more of a necessity while ours can be a “work in progress” for as long as we need it to me. We just had to mentally check our impatience
Ugh sorry that Stormy’s ref and the other team did that. I didn’t see as much of that in soccer (probably because my kids were really small when they played, so it wasn’t as precise), but boy did I see it in Little League so I know how sucky it is when it happens. Hopefully Stormy will shrug it off. And sorry the rest of the weekend sports weren’t any better.
Happy-Birthday-A-Day-Late to Only! It sounds like the perfect place for the celebration if everyone can be comfortable. It still surprises me how many places can’t comfortably accommodate a wheelchair or a service dog.
WOW! That pumpkin musketeer is so good, but of course, I LOVE the Dragon Rider!
Hope you made it through the Walmart run and blood donation without any issues. That’s outrages that any teens have handguns and purely stupid of them to show them. I’ve never had a problem at our door but that could certainly change. I’m sad for you and anyone who have experienced that.

Viki, Okay maybe Biker Witch likes me too, LOL. Maggie thrives with all the attention and it’s good for her. She’s gotten so much more outgoing that she willingly made a friend with a man in the vet office today. There was a time when she would have frozen or hid in fear.
My stomach is a little better on the diet, but my other issues aren’t. I really doubt anyone wants to hear about my colon though so I’ll spare you that.
Turbo was iron man. He went trick or treating with three witches
Harrison’s costume sounds so fun! He must have loved it!
Too funny on hubs’ TN trips. Do you guys have it down to something more routine now?
