So far, this week is on my last nerve. But I do have to tell one story about people actually doing their jobs and how much I appreciate them.
Last week, I ordered some of Maggie’s prescription food that has to be vet-approved each time it’s shipped. Then over the weekend I got a series of emails stating that the dog food company had reached out to my vet multiple times and could not get a response. They warned me I had 48 hours to resolve him or my dog would starve they would cancel the order.
And all this happened over the weekend when there was literally nothing I could do about it.
Fortunately I had an appointment for Maggie Monday morning. I told the two amazing women at the front desk what was happening. They were able to show me a copy of the FAX they’d sent the Friday morning approving the food. But they didn’t stop there. They called the place, and proved that they had indeed sent the FAX, which resulted in Maggie’s food being shipped overnight.
I was AMAZED and very grateful.
So while this and last week have had some significant problems, this one issue was resolved within a half hour by two women ready and willing to do not only their jobs, but also the job of the people who didn’t put her food order through!
Also Maggie made a new from named Goose. He’s the office cat — he’s gray, about her size and very low key and cool. Maggie was pretty proud of herself!
How’s your Wednesday going?

Goose! What a great name for a cat! Sorry about the idiots at the dog food place but seriously, the vet has to approve each order? That’s like…wow.
True story. Two of the players on the opposing soccer team this past weekend are called Maverick and Goose. I think Maverick is actually the kid’s name and everyone calls his best friend Goose. At least I hope that other kid’s name isn’t actually Goose. With some parents, you can never tell.
I hope your week gets less stressful! Hang in there. And look at it this way: It’s Hump Day, gotta be all downhill from here, right?

You must have been very frustrated that Maggie might not have her food. It is wonderful to have competent and caring people at the Vet to address the paperwork mess. I bet Maggie is very happy.
Goose the cat – 😸. How sweet that Maggie and Goose have become friends.
Sure hope the rest of your week is good.
Take care.

Silver, it seems weird to me too, but I think it’s a verification thing because it’s prescription food and treats. We buy enough for several months at a time too.
Goose is very cool and he knows it, LOL. Maggie was afraid of him at first, but over time, she has realized he’s not like the cat in our old neighborhood who would jump out of bushes at her.
I love Maverick and Goose, but like you, really hope Goose is a nickname. And yeah, some name choices make me wonder about parents sometimes too.
Today has been better so far, thanks. Hope your day is going well too!

Viki, I figured Maggie would get her food, but the process was just annoying. I also knew I could buy some emergency food from the vet if things got really weird. The two receptionists (they are way more than that, but I don’t know their exact titles) attacking and solving the problem while I was there was a huge bright spot for me.
Goose the cat always makes me smile. I’m pretty sure he runs the office.
Today is definitely better! Hope your week is going better than your weekend was with the broken dishwasher and valve.

Other than this head cold, I’m peachy. I took the day off – both for the cold and for the yucky roads. I spent the day lounging around eating. drinking hot beverages, and watching mindless TV. (I did read some but my glass sit on my sinuses and make me sneeze.)

B.E., Colds suck, and I’m sorry you’re dealing with one. But you’re being smart by resting at home (for the cold and the icky roads). I totally get the glasses issue. I wear glasses when not wearing contacts, and have had that same problem. Plus being stuffed up like that can affect your vision and make it even harder to read.
Feel better soon!
