What’s Everyone Reading?

What’s everyone reading or listening too?

I have a women’s fiction book (a real book) I may start when the rain hits the week. On audio, I’ve listened to:

Someone Else’s Shoes by JoJo Myers. For me, it was okay.

Nowhere Girl by Cheryl Diamond a nonfiction about a girl born into a family on the run around the world. She never had an legitimate identification or even a country. Her battle to overcome that was interesting. Her family life was incredibly sad. But I have a one unanswered question in that book that really bothers me.

And now I’m listening to The Warsaw Orphan by Kelly Rimmer.

I really need to listen to more fiction!

So what are you reading or listening too?

I actually haven’t in the last week or so. Sad, right? Just not in the right head space. I’m sort of in the middle of Eileen Wilks’ NIGHT SEASON, which is like book 3(?) in her World of the Lupi series. I sort of lost interest, I guess. I enjoyed the first two books. I also have the new JD Robb release but again, not in the headspace.

Weirdly enough, I got a notification on my Audible app about a new Jayne Castle (Jayne Anne Krentz) release–SILVER MASTER. Except that one was released quite awhile ago and narrated by Joyce Bean. I 💖 Jayne’s Ghost Hunter para/scifi/rom series. This “new” release is narrated by someone else. Not sure what’s up with that. I’m hoping she’ll explain things in her next newsletter.

For now, I’m mostly napping or clearing old stuff off the DVR. LOL FYI, yesterday’s surgery went fine. Things are okay but there’s still a lot of recovery to go. I remain cautiously optimistic.

OH! I just saw that National Weather Service has issued a BLIZZARD Warning for LOS ANGELES!?!?!??? WTF?!? LOL Stay warm and dry!

I’m reading Chain of Thorns by Cassandra Clare and Mike Pompeo’s book, Never Give An Inch.

Unfortunately, I really don’t get many words in each day because of all the “other” stuff I have to do.

    Have a wonderful afternoon!

Silver, I really didn’t expect to see you today! Glad the surgery went well. Now’s the healing and being patient :-) I hope things progress quickly and with the best results.

I can see why you’re not in the right headspace right now for most reading. Healing is a lot of work and exhausting.

That is strange about the book being re-recorded with a new narrator. I’d love to know why too!

I heard the blizzard warning this morning. I’m sort of waiting to see what happens :-) Snow would be fun! But not something like a blizzard — especially in L.A.

Keep resting and following your doctors orders!

Viki, I hear you on other things. While our situations are different, I keep having the same thing. By the time I do sit down, I’m too tired to even try to read.

Hope things have slowed down for you and you’re getting some much needed down time.
