I’ve Become a Pusher

You all know I love to bake.

But I really don’t eat much that I bake anymore. My diet restrictions are generally boring so I won’t recount them all here, but I will say I’m a huge believer in not expecting others to conform to my issues. So while I do bake some items tailored to my needs occassionally for me and Wizard, I don’t force these items on others.

So what do I do? Well, yesterday we had a friend over to see our house, then this weekend we’re going to her place to see her house. She offered to serve lunch, and I begged to bring cookies or cupcakes — that I know I can’t and won’t eat. Which kind of makes me feel bad because I’m so focused on eating healthy, unprocessed foods, but I want to tempt others with junk food so I can get my baking fix.

I’ve officially become a sugar pusher :-) But I’m doing it for fun, not profit, so…maybe that doesn’t make me quite so bad?

Happy Wednesday!

Shhh… baked goods aren’t junk food. And even less so when they’re home-baked. I wish I had the time to bake more stuff. Like you, though, I don’t really need to eat what I bake. For me, it’s less about the sugar than the flour. I’ll die before I go gluten-free, but I do need to watch my intake of wheaty things and make sure I eat plenty of fruits to balance it out. I was naughty last week and it’s reminding me of the facts of my life. LOL

Have fun at your friend’s house. Push her some sugar – literally and figuratively. ;o)

🤣😂You’re a pusher of yummy delights. My grandma was one too which puts you in the “super nice comforting person” category. I push too 😉 though mine is often main course food.

I went and had an eye exam today. I haven’t had one in at least 6 years and I promised my Dr. that I would get one before I see her in June. My eyes changed 3 clicks, whatever that means. I ordered new glasses for night driving and sunglasses. They should be in by the end of next week.

Spunk is crying at me to get his dinner ☺.

    Have a wonderful afternoon!

B.E., I totally understand about not wanting to do gluten-free. It’s a learning curve and gets expensive. If you can control your issues just by limiting, it’s a good option! I’m only so picking because mine got serious very suddenly. I’ll do a lot to avoid that again.

I do hope you feel better after last weeks slight overindulgence in gluten-y things!

Viki, at least your main courses are a healthier option! My only defense is that I don’t mind at all when people decline. I fully understand. Being a grandma gives us special perks :-)

You must have pretty good eyesight if all you need is glasses for driving. I hope you love the new ones when you get them. And I hope Spunk got his dinner on time! (Maggie hopes he does so too! She totally sympathizes with how upsetting a late dinner can be.)
