I hope everyone had a great Mother’s Day! We went to breakfast with youngest and his wife. After that we came back to the house, and youngest and Wizard attempted to hang the outdoor ceiling fan. That was a fail, LOL! So the problem is the stucco ceiling that had too tight a space for the fan we bought (the patio is built on as part of the house). Anyhow, the have the bracket up, we just had to get another fan designed to fit without cutting stucco. That should be a simple fix (I know, famous last words!!). But in the scheme of life, this barely qualifies as a micro hiccup and will be solved one way or another.
Otherwise, it was a good weekend, but somehow I’m just exhausted. I think it was a just a really long week with lots of worries about people we love. That’s how life goes, and it will pass.
This week I’m on call for jury duty. I’m on standby for today (Monday) so I’ll check again tonight to see if I go in tomorrow. It’s not hard. It just means we can’t make concrete plans this week and have to remain a bit flexible, but it’s only for a week. See my jury duty attitude has improved

Rain. All weekend. S’all good though. We need it and the severe storms have been spotty. We “preempted” Mother’s Day by doing dinner on Saturday evening. Our fave family gathering spot for Mex food is closed on Sunday. Originally set for 5:30, we postponed due to said spotty storms that had big hail. The kids went to “duck and cover” their vehicles at a nearby church with a portico. The hail misses our house but would have clobbered us if we’d gone our normal travel route. So we waited a bit. Things moved off, we got together, and had a wonderful meal.
My Cards swept the Red Sox so YAY-YAY-YAY! They’ve been in an awful slump. My Cowgirls faltered at the Big 12 Championships, which ended up with weird schedule due to weather delays and “preempts” (ie. starting games much earlier in the day to avoid storms but getting weather delays anyway). OU won the tournament. NCAA Regional seedings came out yesterday. OSU managed to hang on to #6, so they get a regional and a super regional if they win. Games start Friday.
Didn’t do much else. Except laundry. Yes, I did 4 loads of laundry on Mother’s Day.
Hey, we celebrated Saturday so Sunday was just a normal Sunday. 
Managed a short nap yesterday afternoon. Finished HOT AND BADGERED and started IN A BADGER WAY. I do 💖 the honey badgers.
Not much else in my world. Deferring Wallyworld until tomorrow because schlepping groceries in the rain? No bueno. Have a great week!

I’m glad you had a nice weekend and got to hang out with BLB and his wife. Sorry about the fan. Even though it’s a small item, it’s still frustrating. I hope you find a fan you like even more than the original.
C took me to the range yesterday. We had a great time. For the first time, the range was giving mom’s an hour of free time. Kid got off real cheap so he took me to lunch 😊.
Today is C’s birthday. He and hubs went on a short kayak run. Tomorrow is hubs birthday and the two will go on another short kayaking trip and then out to lunch.
I got my first mani-pedi Saturday. Okay, it looks great but how can people stand it. After 20 minutes of doing nothing I was climbing out of my skin. Guess it’s not for me.

Silver, that’s good that you got some rain, but it came at an inconvenient time with Mother’s Day! But you guys adapted and and I’m happy you had a good dinner and fun! Also glad no one had any damage from the weather or tornados.

Viki, I’m so sorry for the problems posting! It’s so frustrating. I appreciate you letting me know. I need to address it but it’s on a very long list of things lately.

LOL on mani-pedi! I’ve done them but hate them no matter how nice the people are. I love my hairdresser too but hate sitting there. So I’m just like you! I haven’t done a mani or pedi in years. But it nice once its done! Hope you enjoy your nice nails
