Wednesday Whining

If anyone wants to see Wizard and I going in pointless circles, you all should watch us refrigerator shopping. It’s a stupid waste of time as it’s impossible to get all we want in one refrigerator because Wizard wants a ton of ice available through the door (for legitimate reasons), and the only way to do that is by taking up shelf space.

I found one where I’m willing to give up the space, but he doesn’t like that one, and is protesting based on door shelf space. I’m like…dude what do you want?

It’s become an insane quest to find a refrigerator that has defied the laws of physics. And sanity. We shopped until we were too sore to continue yesterday.

Sigh. But we must order it today if we want the sale prices, so maybe we can stop the madness and just pick one out. Ultimately I think we’re getting the one that only has water through the door, and an ice maker on the bottom that’s easy to access and should give him enough ice. But at this point, I’d buy anything, even an ice chest,Β  just to make the pain stop :-)

How’s your week going?

We gave up and bought a counter top ice maker. It works GREAT! Don’t know why we didn’t do this earlier.

Marlene has a point! LOL My fridge has ice and water in the door but there’s no water line to hook up to it. 😜 (I should mention that it was a “trade” for legal services provided by Lawyer Guy and as we needed a new fridge, it was great. I keep thinking some day we’ll run that water line. It’s been over ten years. 🀣🀣🀣 Everytime I see an ad for the countertop icemakers, I think to myself, “Self, start saving your monies. We needs that pretty!”

My Wednesday Whineβ„’ is that I uploaded CROSSFIRE yesterday afternoon and I’ve already discovered 2 typos while working on promo stuff. πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ It’s live on Amazon, still waiting on the outlets D2D words with. My one redeeming thought is that even my Harlequin books managed to have a few typos and that process involved author, editor, copy editor, and proofreader. Ah, well. I’m also whining because now I have to promo and market or I won’t sell more than the 4 books already bought by my four loyal fans. 🀣

Break time’s over. Back to work. Happy Hump Day!

You guys have a battle deciding on the refrigerator – WOW. You’re lucky. That means you have options. My space for the refrig is SO small I only had one option last Oct. when the old one died.

I’m a huge ice person, so I get Wizard’s desire for through the door. Also, not having to open the main door to get ice is a cost saver. Whatever you chose, I hope it’s a good fit and that you love it.

The week is not the best. C is taking hubs to TN this weekend and hubs is already having issues. And now his mouth is hurting him again. I honestly think it’s psychosomatic. He’s going in to the dentist in the morning.

It’s been yucky hot and humid the past several days. It’s supposed to cool down this weekend. I’m looking forward to that.

While C is in TN, his C and I are going to the farmer’s market. She’s a chef so I think this will be a learning trip for me 😊.

I hope you had success buying your new refrigerator and that you have a fantastic evening!

Marianne, thank you! That might be a great option down the road if we need it! For now, we got the water only in the door. The ice should be easily accessible. Fingers crossed!

Silver, I didn’t know counter top ice makers were a thing, so now we have another option if we need more ice.

Trading for services is a great way to get a new fridge. And the water line is all about what’s important to you guys. But I’m thinking you might really like that counter top ice maker if the money ever magically appears.

Congrats on getting the book up! I just bought it two seconds ago! But yeah, those sneaky typos are frustrating. They definitely get through the NY editing system too. Try not to stress about it. Most voracious readers read right over them. Half the time, I don’t even see them because my subconscious brain just automatically corrects it before sending it to my conscious brain.

Hope your promo and marketing catches the attention of readers and your book gets tons of readers! It’s just a matter of getting the word out there into the reading public.

Viki, I know what you mean, my last two houses were right spaces too and really limits the options. So I guess this house is what caused all the agony as we had choices this time :-) But the decision is made and we bought it this morning. Now I’m crossing my fingers it will work as we think it will.

Oh no, I was hoping hubs wouldn’t have any issues. Hopefully the dentist can find and solve the problem, or if it’s not physical, then maybe the dentist can reassure him. I’m sorry you’re dealing with this.

    Humidity sucks!

Going to the Farmer’s market with a chef is my idea of fun. There’s so much I could learn and I hope you get to learn some fun things too. You might also have tips for her — experience counts too. I hope you both have a great time!

Hope you have a good evening too and all goes well at hubs appointment tomorrow.
