Wednesday Critters

I walked dogs at the animal shelter last week. I think I walked five. It’s hard to keep track, but they were all good and I didn’t have any trouble. I also wore my arm guards to prevent any accidental scratches :-) Here’s a couple pics of the dogs I walked: This is Hope — I fell for this sweet girl. A few times I stopped on the walking trail to keep distance between us and other dogs, and Hope would turn and make eye contract with me to see what I wanted to do. She’s a smart girl! But I am not getting another dog, I just want to help these dogs find homes!

And this is Birdie, she was young (I think, I didn’t look at her age on the intake sheet), sweet and full of energy. She was good on the leash for me, and no trouble at all.

I definitely can’t walk dogs this week as I’m recovering. And late next week we go to Hawaii, so hopefully I can do it when I get back. It’s a ton of work, but it’s also equally rewarding. I’m also very careful when I come home to prevent spreading any illnesses that are at the shelter to Maggie. I take my shoes off in the garage, come right in and shower before I pet her. It’s too easy to spread things like kennel cough.

How’s your Wednesday going?

Oh my is Hope pretty. Pits get a bad rap. They are kind and smart. It’s the humans that cause the problems. I sure hope she gets adopted by good people soon.

Birdie has a very expressive face. I wish the best for her.

You are so smart to think of no contact with Maggie and cleaning up after walking the dogs. I wouldn’t have thought of it. You are such a good pet mom 😊.

I’m praying that your recovery is going well.

Hawaii is going to be so good for you.

My Wednesday was spent with a banker/adviser. He’s free and there is no commitment. I brought hubs and it was hard. He can’t really articulate what he wants to say so when I meet with the guy again on Friday it will just be me. He’s going to come up with a few plans for me to look at and I’ll just bring them home and go over them with Chris and then hubs.

I feel like I’ve lived at banks the past three weeks.

I hope your are doing well and that you have a wonderful day.

Viki, Hope is pretty, and in my limited experience, really wanted to please. Yeah, pits are like all power breeds, they need to have the right owners. I have lots of feelings and thoughts about that subject :-)

I’d love to take credit for being that smart about not getting Maggie sick, but it’s part of our training :-) I hadn’t thought of it until I took the required training class. That class was actually valuable, which was nice.

So far, I seem to be better each day, thanks! I’m determined to get well, do the next test, and move on with life!

You had a busy day Wednesday! I’m very glad you found an advisor you feel good about. You already know how critical the planning you do now is.

Poor hubs on not being able to articulate what he wants. That frustration must be nearly overwhelming at times for him. He’s so lucky to have you.

Don’t forget taxes consuming all your time before this! You’ve had a lot going on.

My day is good, and I hope yours is too!
