Weekend Roundup

Before I forget, you can check the blog tour and blog blast stops here if you want to enter for the grand prizes.

Okay–the weekend was awesome. Sunday especially. In the morning BLB (youngest son) came by, we had breakfast and hung out. Then in the afternoon we went out to see the house Middle Son  moved into. A hundred year old small house that is across the street from the beach. It’s a really cool house with a ton of charm! Bailey LOVES it. I don’t know how they did it all, but in one day they (Middle Son and his lovely girl friend) had then entire house unpacked and everything put away. While we were there we all went for a walk on the beach but I didn’t bring my phone to take pictures. Once we left there, we went to CPA Boy (oldest son) and Special K’s house for in dinner. It was casual and so much fun. All told, we traveled something like 120 miles but totally worth it. I also got in a couple hours work but mostly it was family and fun.

Once again, I want to thank everyone for all the wonderful messages about HER TEMPORARY HERO. I really had no clue the book would get this kind of response.  I was concerned that Logan’s issues were too real for romance. I love that people are connecting! Hope they feel the same way about Hunt in the next book. Hunt was a sniper in the Marines…not an easy job for a man raised in a family of artists. But that’s another book and we don’t need to worry about it yet :-)

Okay, now it’s your turn! How was your weekend?

Man yesterday was a busy day for you but it sounds like great fun. How nice you were able to see all the boys in one day too :).

Bailey must love living across the street from the beach. A doggy paradise ;).

I’m loving HTH but am constantly being pulled away from reading by the hubs.

We went to look at another property and at first I thought it was the one. We walked into the house and the foyer opened into the family room and the kitchen with a full window wall over looking a pond and hills. Just beautiful and then it went down hill. The house was built by a guy for himself so not really female friendly. For instance, the laundry room has no sink and my washer and dryer won’t even fit in the space allowed. Oh well.

We also had dinner with the eldest and his wife. Other than that it was just hubs calling me constantly to help him with this and that ;).

    Have a wonderful day!

ps I really am enjoying HTH and I love Logan. His dad’s an idiot but I like the rest of his family :). And Jiggy is too cute.

I’m so glad your boys are all doing well and that you got so see them yesterday. I bet Bailey’s totally groovin’ on the beach. And yay! for the warm reception HTH is getting out there in the world. Naturally. It’s an awesome book, Jenn. =o)

We took the weekend off from the home projects. Which gave me time to heal up a bit, do some reading (HTH for the win!), and get some rewriting done. I’m halfway through chapter 7 now! And I like how this is shaping up. Now, today, it’s back to work – although most of the work left to do belongs to Hubs. But that probably means I have to work inside and do the cleaning I’ve been putting off. LOL

Sounds like a great time with the family. I’m all about getting in as much family time as you can. :)

My weekend was rough, health issues, still have trouble this morning which really sucks because I have scenes in my head that need to be put down. Had them there since Fri eve. Not sure I will be able to get to it today.

Like B.E. I just try and push through.

Viki, bummer on the house! It’s worse when you get your hopes up like that. Which reminds me of a house we were looking at the plans on before it was built. Wizard texted me: “Look at the laundry room, that wasn’t designed for a woman…or people.” I was standing in the middle of the store laughed like an idiot. He was REALLY annoyed at the poor design.

But you will find the perfect property one day!

Please don’t worry about not getting the book read. I have those same kind of interruptions constantly too. On the other hand, if the book doesn’t work for you, don’t keep reading :-) Life is too short and I always understand that!

I want to live at the beach where Middle Son lives, except for the prices, traffic and parking issues. But man it’s gorgeous there!

    B.E., thank you :-)

Bailey’s happy as long as he’s with his people. He’s pretty easy like that. But he really seemed to enjoy walking on the beach.

You’re house must feel all the love and labor you guys are pouring into it. I’ve seen one or two pics on FB–gorgeous! i think it was the deck I saw with the BBQ.

Yay or book progress! Isn’t it awesome when you’re “feeling” the book????

Ashlynn, I’m so sorry! You’re health struggles can be significant. I know that frustration of having the scenes in your head but your body won’t cooperate to get them written. I really feel for you. But you need to rest if you can.

    Take care!

First off, you’re mean! Taunting us with the next book, and secondly, sounds like family time was relaxing. I bought HER TEMPORARY HERO but I haven’t gotten to read much yet  with work and babysitting my nephew who happens to be at that age where he wants to draw on everything, and chase the dogs around. Not to mention other stuff, but I’m glad to hear it has so many good reviews, since I have a few days off coming up I’m gonna lock myself in my room and read, no distractions aloud  . I hope this coming weekend is as awesome as the last for you and I hope everyone else’s is awesome too :-P .

Amanda, Wizard always says I’m mean too :-) Sorry to tease!

Hope you were able to keep up with your nephew! He sounds like a very busy and curious little guy!
